Yeah from watching the video, sounds like it was intentional, but not in an attempt to be dirty, Allen was just trying to get him off him. I suppose it's possible at the same instant Allen extended his knee, Heyward maybe fell forward, so can see that hurting more. But if Allen is on the bottom, hard to see how he can inflict much energy.

I’m sure Allen isn’t a choir boy out there. I kind of assumed he didn’t get a 15 yard penalty when he slid because the refs hear what’s going on. and also he has a rep for being a bit of an actor. But i personally thought the defender should’ve been flagged on that play.

Only if it’s a deal like this year. Defensive players, especially ones with a lengthy history of injuries, do not age well. Let’s still take it a game at a time with him because he’s been mostly healthy this year. Even if you lose him, I wouldn’t stress that much because you already know you have to get younger at that position…
