I can't take the Jets seriously. They are on perpetual rebuild until they get lucky. They throw so much at the wall to get it to stick the building probably reeks of failure. I have been and continue to write them off to the point when they get good I will be surprised because I believe in nothing they do.

What? I think you're the dumb one here no offense. I asked for clarification to you saying "All of the ones I have researched make sense" to the CK article I posted, and that was too much for you? I'm just asking what you mean by that. What "Makes sense" to you? You keep saying I need to show proof of what I said, when I have told you multiple times I condemned the CK stuff in that thread - but you cherry picked the ONE reply where I didnt. You can go find the multiple times I did. Do you want me to show where I did 5 separate times? Will that make you happy? I didn't know I had to prove I said something when you're the one saying I didnt. That's on you to go find, but I assure you it's there. The article I sent contains a plethora of quotes that are divisive, which prompted my response in that CK thread that you find so troublesome. Happy to talk through that but I'd love the clarity on the "researched and makes sense" part first.

Maye is at the beginning of his second year. The team is doing what they need to in order to build him up and get him acclimated to the NFL. Same way any team does. He's looking like a solid, great pick, but I want to see how he is doing in Week 9 of year 5. Defenses adjust. Pieces come and go. SCHEDULES get harder. A bit of pump the brakes on this imo.

It's 5 years, but yes, still very much true. In fact, no Head Coach/Starting QB combo has even reached their first Super Bowl together after their first 6 years. And the 6th year only happened once (Reid/McNabb in Philly). I'm very fascinated by this data point and actually have it all laid out in a spreadsheet, which gets updated after every Super Bowl.

His contract is manageable this year and next. Worry about 2027 later. -

Joe Marino's 9 point plan for improvement
mjt328 replied to D. L. Hot-Flamethrower's topic in The Stadium Wall
Joe Marino is extremely intelligent on the sport and really does his homework when it comes to watching film. He's also got a pretty level head when it comes to overreacting to what is happening each week. It's pretty disturbing after getting the full bye week to digest everything, he needed a NINE point list of areas we need to fix just to get back on track. We aren't talking about a slight adjustment or quick fix. We just need to completely shift our strategy on offense and defense, bench a handful of starters and make some trades. Yikes. Usually the All-22 film guys start digging in after a loss, and can find a few areas the Bills need to tweak. I've noticed those guys are uncharacteristically down, depressed and frustrated this time around. I think everyone is starting to realize we are screwed. -
He drafted Coleman, traded for Cooper, signed Palmer. Not to mention Moore and Samuel. I think Palmer was poised to have a break out game and he was injured mid game with a thin room. I think Beane goes down his path of a day 2 pick for a wr. Busted with Benjamin and Cooper but would try to get one out NO. Shaheed or Olave would fit vert well imo.

My left field thought is Rashod Bateman. I am unsure whether he is a plausable number one, the three things that I like the most is that he is 25, he has been extended by Baltimore (three years $36.75M) and the Ravens might considering trading him at 1 and 5. I haven't looked into the deeper mathematics of it all. An article by ESPN states; Bateman, 25, has gone from being an underachieving 2021 first-round pick to the best deep threat for the NFL's No. 1 offense in 2024. He was the only player in the NFL last season to average over 16 yards per reception and catch at least nine touchdown passes. Source: Ravens give WR Rashod Bateman 3-year, $36.75M extension A 40 yard dash time of 4.41. -

Call the Saints Beane -
3rd time is the Charm. Shaheed or Olave. Would pay more for Olave. Meyers is not much different than what is here. Waddle would be a priority but doubt they trade him in division with another game later in the year.
