Lamar does not possess the power or physical running game that Allen does. Not even close. Jackson is 6’2/205. Allen is 6’5/237. Allen has enough speed and elusiveness to at least be in the same world as Lamar. He’s essentially a hybrid of Jackson/Henry. Allen also has more arm talent at the position. Both are all-world talents, but Josh Allen is “the guy”.

If it continues the way it did yesterday, yeah I do. Ben Johnson isn't tethered to him and he isn't going to waste his head coaching opportunity on a QB he didn't pick and doesn't believe in. Williams has time to prove me wrong but as of not I see way too many flaws that haven't gotten any better since week 1 last year.

Can we, somehow, make this about McDermott and why we should have hired Ben Johnson this past year??

I will only partially agree with this. Teams have been crowding the box more against us but I fall more on the side of it's just them not respecting our boundary receivers at all. Coleman might have changed that this week however.

I can’t take credit for this one. They kept hanging around and I kept thinking they still had a chance. Wife was bummed and fell asleep. The couple (huge Bills fans) with whom we were vacationing were upset about it and went to bed. I did keep my mouth shut about the possibility of a comeback so I didn’t jinx them. SO WAIT! MAYBE I CAN take some credit……..

That is also true for Josh. Allen is a very gifted runner, one of the best ever. But Jackson is the greatest to ever do it from the QB position.

Pre-game I expected the Ravens O to manhandle our D, what with missing #1 draftee, two vet starters and generally being in transition. TBH I was not optimistic about the result. Josh saved our bacon yesterday but McD is an excellent defensive coach. Assuming we play them later in the year we will be a lot better on both sides of the ball but especially on D. Josh Allen will beat them again.

One would expect a coach to buck up a player so it’s no surprise to me. Williams had a couple good moments so it wasn’t all bad. But he took himself out of position on too many occasions imho.

Hoecht should help significantly against the run the next time we play the Ravens. As should a healthy Hairston in coverage. The D will get better, thanks to better players and improved play from the players who were out Sunday night.

The other 5 spots I would consider a wash.

I never said Lamar wasn’t great. He is one of the best to ever do it. But he cannot make all of the same plays that Josh Allen can. Allen combines arm talent, speed, and power in a package that has never been seen before. He is the best pure football player in NFL history. That’s not to take anything away from Lamar or Patrick. But they have advantages that Allen does not — HOF teammates, SB winning coaches, and GMs that can identify top-end talent in the draft, for starters.

Got caught without Oliver on the field. Same thing they were doing in 1st half, that Ed adjusted to 2nd half, except TJ Sanders was in and not Oliver. Run away from the 3T. Scoop blocked TJ and Bosa out of play so they couldn't collapse the running lane, hence why it's a massive hole to run through. Bernard tries to fill the gap and key on Hnry but the hole is massive and he get's blown up. Rapp either makes businss decision or wrong angle or is tired. This is the same I formation the other long runs from Henry came from.

Guys, the record of 250 yards in a single quarter isn't the entirety of the record... he also added 2 rushing TDS (and a passing TD). That's never been down (and likely won't be for a long, long, long time). 250 passing yards and 2 rushing TDs in one quarter. Let that sink in. No more discussions, Josh is first-ballot HOF right now.

CJ Mosley is a guy on that defense who always seemed to give Buffalo fits. They still have an above average defense for sure, one capable of having big games, but Mosely retiring sure does make me feel a lot better about playing them this season. Go Bills!!

Didnt say the game plan prioritizes cook over josh allen. I do disagree that cook has only took over 1 game. Most of the time he takes over its a rout and they stop feeding him (he only has 3 games with over 20 rushing attempts!!!). I do think lots of teams (especially after last year) think stopping the run is the way to make Josh one dimensional and get after him. So yes I think teams game plan around James Cook (the original comment). No team has a game plan against one thing or else you end up like Dallas a few years ago (didnt game plan for the run and couldnt adjust from having a safety play Will) or Seahawks (didnt plan for so many passes and routinely found themselves in bad matchup ala Adams man coverage on Diggs).
