  1. Past hour
  2. Envy may be one of the worst sins. After all Pegula has done for Buffalo it's beyond petty to carp about his freaking boat. Some folks need to play a little "It's a Wonderful life" mind game and consider what Buffalo would be like today if Pegula never bought the Bills & Sabres? Would either team still be in the city? Would there be any development on the waterfront?
  3. The guy to whom you posed this question has defended the message of this sign as an appropriate comparison. Good work.
  4. Because the owner is not the state... that would be my guess... unless the taxes go directly to Terry, in which case I would be wrong.
  5. Injuries are supposed to be public knowledge in the NFL. The news here is that Vrabel thinks he can game that system. I wonder who he learned that from?
  6. I have felt a little of that. Probably because of that last game against Chicago. I started wondering if the fact that this team has been knocking on the door for quite a few years but never broken through is starting to take a toll on them mentally. I'm worried, but I worry about everything, all the time. We'll have a better idea of where things stand after the Ravens game. I think it will erase a lot of uncertainty if we come out & just look like ourselves that game, win or lose.
  7. Apparently Ja'Lynn Polk has a shoulder injury, and someone let it get out that he will be out for the season. Vrabel, of course, is none too pleased. Made me think of the days before Beane and McDermott when everything about our organization was pretty much public knowledge. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/mike-vrabel-wants-to-find-rats-leaking-injury-info
  8. Given the fact that he repeatedly posts juvenile memes, I figured there couldn't be a female interested in him. Could be wrong.
  9. To answer my question on multi use. AI Overview Yes, the Buffalo Bills' new Highmark Stadium is designed as a multipurpose facility to host various events beyond football games, which will create economic benefits and new opportunities for the Buffalo community. While specific details and the full range of non-football events have not been fully detailed, the stadium's multi-purpose design ensures it will serve as a venue for a variety of events. Designed as a multipurpose venue The new stadium is intended to be a vibrant facility for the community. Officials have promoted the stadium as having the ability to host diverse events to provide economic benefits and generate tax revenue. Examples of potential events While not an exhaustive list, the multi-purpose design opens the door for concerts, other sporting events, and community gatherings. Focus on the fan experience The new stadium is centered on creating a fan-focused, football-first environment. It aims to foster the iconic culture of the Bills' fan base while creating a dynamic vision for the future of the franchise.
  10. I really hope this is just the negativity in me but something feels off this year
  11. Last night was brutal - though I guess not unexpected given that the Sox had a night off, and the Yankees played extras and got home close to dawn the night before. They really need to at minimum split this series. Boston should not be beating NY as much as they have been.
  12. They did - only parts are covered.
  13. IMO the two are not related. Oh and I was watching some guy by the name of "Mr Beast" with my grandson tour a Yacht a lot more impressive then Pegula's.
  14. Didn't the end of the article say he bought it in 2021? Shouldn't that make it a non issue? Also it is a little crazy that a boat and the stadium are an either/or scenario for people. He is worth 7 Billion. He could afford three more stadiums and a handful of yachts if he wanted to. The state made the agreement and I for one am glad they did. The last stadium lasted 52 years. If the new one lasts that long I am sure the state will recoup 850 million.
  15. To answer my question on maintenance, the state and county pay for maintenance over 30 years, and that cost is already factored into their combined investment of $850M. BTW, these payments over 30 years are JOBS, so some portion of this tax money comes back to serve the community.
  16. Tried to make this point in another thread. We have a large amount of players that get hurt multiple times per year, every year. We have chose to extend these players or further depend on them to be key contributors. More of a shame on us when that doesn't happen and it's not every team either. Lot of teams have Ed Oliver types, James Cook types, our entire offensive line, and they don't deal with this like clock work. We do, we will, no reason to think it will stop. The evidence at this point is overwhelming that it won't. Throw Bosa on your list.
  17. The yacht sucks. Can't even fish off of it, it's too big!
  18. to answer one of my my questions, Pegula pays for all overruns. His 60% can grow, he is assuming that risk. No the taxpayers. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/bills-stadium-costs-balloon-2-000057348.html?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAACGs0N8eTEc8QixAO_jBA_ksTke-0vazDdGC1A1ws-q5krkdjm4mcQDQ4oh4CGoBD6SMlszkoeuACWVb-g9-aDlWac153iyBtkzE1T6wNWB2FDzgrR333Dtu2Q9kuElX9MbmhzrIdIOHqzmf4irbVyD95fNiM3Qu14ouSy6QtJ5B
  19. The Jets/Giants used no public money for Metlife.
  20. Why didn't the Pegulas buy an open air yacht ,?
  21. Terry Pegula could have made much more money moving the team to Austin, Texas. The anti-Pegula contingent want to live in a world that doesn’t exist.. and apparently want that world to have Josh Allen Quarterbacking the Texas Bills.
  22. You could argue that Spencer Brown is elite, Beane found him.
  23. Yup. And that is part of being a big league city and having nice things. The city and county get benefits from it too.
  24. He was wildly productive with the Raiders too. It wasn't just Rodgers. I'm also not being critical of Beane; I understand why he'd say he really wanted Cooper after he obtained Cooper. What's he supposed to say? I would have done precisely the same. But in no world was Cooper a better solution than Adams, a multi-time first team all pro. I get why it didn't happen, of course.
  25. If the DC deployment has solved crime in DC, then why would they need to start arming the guard now? National Guard members on DC streets for Trump’s crackdown will soon be armed, Pentagon says It doesn’t seem to make sense unless fighting crime wasn’t the purpose here…
