Preseason Week 1 Giants at Bills - Game thread
HappyDays replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not sure if this means anything but I guess it's promising? -
This goes back further than 2020. Sorry for the expanded picture. Putin’s price hike mostly to blame.

Some are misinterpreting this. He's saying Josh is a unicorn. Not just a great qb but someone defenses have to game plan against like a receiver or rb for his other abilities. He wasn't putting Burrow down, he just doesn't have that option to make plays with his legs.
-
Thoughts 1. Young d line - mix in young vets with starters this game. Even if that means AJE runs with the 2s and even 3s. Put the top rookie in the starting spot to get experience next to a veteran. Put the top veteran in with rookies to talk to them, coach them 2. Shakir 2 snaps. The former charger dude is in as long as Allen is in. Samuel plays intermittently in the first half. Coleman plays a few with 2nd team. I don't want shakir in, the charger kid doesn't need work he needs reps with Josh. Coleman needs experience. Samuel needs to get his ***** together or be trade bait. 3. I want Forrest to start. See what he does. Sink or swim bud

Trump ❤️ Tariffs

It would just show how we had inflation dropping until Trump was elected, so no real point. We all know this already -
The great thing is Allen. And if he can't win it by his 10th season, Josh's 9th) then yeah he needs to go. Again he said he recognized changes needed to be made and I believe he will try. I mean hell he just added bigger DL which is a change. But Allen and this fan base need note than another Lewis or Schottenheimer. So you would have 15 years of "good" and no shot at a superbowl for Allen and this fanbase?

DOGE Big Balls Assaulted in DC

Can’t wait to see what the TACO changes this tune to next week or completely forgets about it. Or better, he unleashes troops on the streets. That sounds like an American POTUS for sure and not an insane dictator. 😂 But it’s absolutely adorable that you believe everything he says! Keep that Twitter feed coming, you senile old weirdo. We love seeing the freakshows (“The Reckoning!” Hahahahahah) you follow! -
For me, I only make the move if someone great is available. I'm sure some would roast this but 2 I would have likely made change for are Belichik and Ben Johnson. I think Josh is the best NFL qb. Not winning a sb would be a travesty. mcd is a good coach. But on the strategy side he is lacking. A defensive coach whose defense costs us almost every year.

In a sports league like the NFL when players outplay their contracts, especially their rookie contracts, as no one really knows what each player is worth until they show it on the filed, it is extremely common practice to rip up the old contract, as it does not reflect the player's actual worth. James Cook is one of those players who has significantly outplayed his contract. The NFL is very different from the army, as you hopefully know. It would be nice if we could legitimately compare our type of everyday workman 'contracts' to those of NFL players, but we can't realistically do that. And I don't believe it is legal to 'get a rifle but" slammed into your head by your superiors in either the military or the NFL. If this has happened to you, sue them. I had a twisted drill sargeant in basic training at Fort Knox, but the worst she did to me was make me do 20 pushups to the wind (often).

If he plays and the Bills let him walk, they will get a 3rd round comp pick for him, but your feelings are hurt and you’ll take it whatever you can get for him. This is why fans don’t run teams Your military contract doesn’t have language in there that makes hold ins possible. It’s in the CBA that players are allowed to do this

Back in the day Lebron got one also -
Exactly. Our primary weapon is Josh. Their primary weapon is Chase. Just to put a point to it, in 2023 Chase had 143 yards with a TD against a Jags team that made the playoffs. And that was with Jake Browning throwing the ball.

If by handled himself exceptionally you exclude the ridiculous violations of Ohio traffic laws. June 5, ticketed at 91 in a 65mph zone, June 17, ticketed at 101 in a 60mph zone. That puts me firmly in the "he's the ultimate privileged nepo baby" camp. I suspect he is smart enough to understand that much of the world now views him as an entitled nepo baby and is rooting for his comeuppance. He appears now to be saying and doing the right things (in the last 5 weeks since he stopped speeding). I don't know if he is trying to change his character and become an upstanding citizen or he is just trying not to get caught (by the cops or on camera) as coming across as a the entitled brat he has been for the last 5 years. -
yeah he’s saying they game plan vs JA probably because of his rolling out and dual threat game. He’s saying Cinci has the WR weapons and you gotta game plan against that.

Yeah this sums up my greatest fear with this team. I just don't think he's creative enough. I know on TV he'll get his balls washed by announcers about being a defensive genius but push comes to shove the great offensive minds in the playoffs toy with him. It's a lot for Josh to overcome.
