  1. Past hour
  2. We knew you didn't know how to read an academic paper, but apparently you're having trouble reading a forum too.
  3. There was a fire in my college dorm building that I called 911 for. I called again at my first job when our student pick-up van drove past a structure fire. Around that same time I called 911 because a wrong-way driver whizzed past me on I-476 outside Philadelphia. I called a third time when a girl passed out on the court during a middle school basketball game. My wife called 911 for me when I passed out in our bedroom in the middle of the night. I had food poisoning, was freely flowing from both ends for about 12 hours, and got dehydrated. I got up to get something to drink, tipped my head back to drink from the glass and the darkness closed in. I had enough cognition left to put the glass down on the counter but I woke up on the floor. They sent the two smallest EMTs I have ever seen to my house and I'm a large man (6'3" probably 270 at that time (I'm less now - yay!). I had to scoot down the stairs on my butt because they couldn't lift me and then they almost dropped the gurney over sideways putting me into the truck. I caught myself from falling by grabbing the door frame. Needless to say, I haven't eaten anything from that Amish market since.
  4. My condolences if the Wire stirs memories for you.
  5. Williams is more complete a back than Cook is, but Cook is more explosive. That puts them at near the same value to me. I'm offering somewhere between 11.5 - 12 per on a three year extension with 24 guaranteed. Take it or leave it
  6. that's one way to distract from the Epstein files, I guess. Can you imagine if Biden did this? MTG would have invoked the 25th Amendment already.
  7. Market Value is tricky and always inflated. If 5th round Williams is settling for $11M/yr then his price on the open market, where GMs lose sanity in Free Agency, is probably $13M+. But all it takes is one crazy GM with a lot of cap room and we're off to the races. I agree the Bills offer was probably in the same ballpark, and that is why Cook hasnt accepted it yet. Cook. Need those home runs.
  8. How do we know what offer the Bills made?
  9. Nice that this contract should cut the BS on both sides. If something doesn’t happen quickly someone is very unreasonable on either side.
  10. Cook is a better back than Williams. They may be identical in stats, but Williams took a lot more carries to get there. Not saying, the contracts wont be close but Cook has earned a bit more.
  11. Cant forget what a Sean McVay system and a QB that can barely move does for those numbers too. Cook is the more talented runner. But this contract along with the Jacobs contract last year probably set the tone for where Cook will fall in percentage of cap space if he was to get a new contract this year.
  12. Cook is a very very good RB with obvious limitations. Blocking and the occasional drop being the most egregious. But we need him on this roster. I'm just not willing to pay 15M/yr for a 2 down back. 3/36 and 22 guaranteed is as far as I go.
  13. He’s also in a Shanny system
  14. Nice to have this done and get some perspective for both sides. It wont be the same deal for Cook, he'll be looking for more. He's an explosive weapon, and a 2nd round big name vs a 5th rounder. As much as anyone wants to say that doesnt matter, it definitely plays into the player's willingness to "settle". Same thing happened with Benford and Shakir. We'll have a to pay a bit of a premium, but hopefully not much more.
  15. So...the all-knowing all-powerful NFL top 100 thats in progress had Cook ranked at #89, and Williams at #85...so subtract 4% from his contract and offer it to Cook...
  16. Since the Bills are married to a running back by committee approach I'd want Cook. Seven rushing TD's of more than 20 yards by Cook over three seasons. Only one by Williams. He's just more explosive.
  17. The Wire is one of those shows that actually lives up to its hype as one of the best shows ever made imo. Other classics on there are Curb Your Enthusiasm and Veep. Would also recommend Barry. Succession is a more recent show that also got a lot of acclaim
  18. Market price for Cook now set. Their stats are nearly identical. Both are 3 years in the NFL. Both were seldom used as rookies. Here are their stats for the last two years Cook: Rushing: yards 2131, TDs 18. Receiving 703 yards, 6 TDs. Scrimmage total 2834 24 TDs. Williams: Rushing: yards 2443, TDs 26. Receiving 388 yards, 5 TDs. Scrimmage total 2831 31 TDs. By the way Williams is 5'9 202 4.65 40. He'll turn 25 in a few weeks. Played College ball at ND and had 419 Rushing attempts in college Cook is 5'11 190, ran 4.42 40 and turns 26 in Sept. Played college ball at UGA and had only 230 carries in college.
  19. I was thinking 3 for 36-40 with sneaky incentives for Cook so this makes sense.
  20. I agree with those numbers. And Ill back you 375lb DT proposal lol
  21. If they had the same deal, which player would you rather have?
  22. Yes, so people saying Cook is better, how so? They seem pretty even to me. Cook’s market value is nowhere near what he is asking. I would be surprised is the Bills are not in this same ballpark with their offer.
  23. I'm old and it's lights out around 9:30...so I'll catch it tomorrow or later in the week. With all the video and on the ground reporting, i.e. Sal C, Astro, etc. yeah it might be different seeing guys in the dining hall or the dorms, but I feel anything we need to know these days is pretty much reported in real time.
  24. Good points. Maybe we’ll go after McLaurin
  25. The woman was bad at her job, Trump might be incorrect that it was political, she might have just been bad at it, but the jobs numbers were too far off too often.
