Sure. Hairston has to learn McDermotts complex zone defense first. This takes time and Elam never really learned it and could never use his natural athletism to fit in. That's why he's gone. Hopefully Hairston is a cerebral enough player to pick it up and fit in and doesn't fall into that same Elam trap. Until that happens White will be the starter. Same reason Hamlin is the starting safety. He's a "cerebral" player but certainly not athleticlly gifted

Saying there hasn’t been any video of him and this is the real first look was saying you were incorrect on the video being highlights from this year. I added the it wasn’t great because you aren’t going to be getting any highlights from today. I haven’t really tried to sell anything besides you being incorrect. To add to this neither player fielded a punt during team portion. Disappointing because I think Keon could break a few.

I won the lottery this year for 4 tix on 7/29 and amd going next week with some friends. I also apparently won for 7/28 as well, as both dates dropped into my account. The ones listed weren't sustained during practice, they were injuries that kept guys off the field for the first day. None of them sounded like anything too serious.

First off, no offense, but you are coming across as if you seem pretty vested in just selling the negative take away you have from day 1 here. As far as the trailer goes, doesn't really matter when they happened, they are clips of him making some impressive plays was the takeaway. So its ok if people want to see that as a positive and have optimism we can hopefully see more of that kind of stuff from him as camp goes on. And he's been in the whole offseason program, and the reports about him have been positive all off season. So today isn't the "first real look" at him this offseason just because it was your first real look at him. And like I said up thread, guys who have a physical game are not the type of player that shines in shorts. This isn't the time where Keon is always going to pop because a lot of his best traits come with being physical. Just like its silly to over value some speedy guy looking good in shorts, its the time they should shine. Not to mention its day 1 of camp and guys will have good and bad days throughout camp.

Not sure if you can still get away with this but the last time I attended training camp at SJF I arrived at 5am and just parked on campus, then slept in my car until it started.
