I agree that Babich might be an issue. Their willingness to change things up this year and try different approaches has me hopeful though.

I've watched every single Mahomes snap this year and he has actually missed a bunch of wide open deep TDs. They probably win the Eagles game if he hits one of them. -
Week 4, Ain'ts v. Bills, GAME BALLS!

I’m thinking we want the Ravens to win with the Chargers losing today, right? -

Guys we paid not producing is frustrating. Groot and Benford have been pretty quiet and have looked pretty bad at times. -

His throws have been off the mark this season and there is not much heat on them, but he dropped one into the bucket for Worthy. Then again with Worthy on a clean release with his speed he just has to get enough air under it and be somewhat close on the throw and let the kid run to the ball if Baltimore is leaving their DB on an island. For a guy that has that wierd waddling walk, I have always been surprised at how slippery Mahomes is to bring down. His scrambling is probably where he is most dangerous - at least so far this season. -

17 -0 means nothing if we don't win the Super Bowl.
H2o replied to JohninMinn.'s topic in The Stadium Wall
We won't be 17-0. We will lose 2-4 games during the regular season. The main thing is to secure the #1 seed this year and not have to play in the WC round. Make everyone have to come through Buffalo and get that bye week. -

Hoecht is the only one of those that I expect to make an impact this year. Ogunjobi looked like a JAG in preseason and Hairston is going to have trouble finding his way onto the field. Would love to be wrong on at least that last point though. The biggest concern to me is the defensive coaching which has shown no signs of improvement from last year. And that's what kills us in the playoffs every year. The 3rd down defense if anything looks even worse and those plays a lot of times are about their OC vs your DC. -
It'll be interesting to see the all 22 but I suspect it's going to confirm another week of cover 2 and 3 shells. Josh was a little less disciplined taking the underneath stuff this week and we had some protection issues. Hard to pull off 80 yard pass plays like that, though i agree we don't have anyone that takes the top off a defense.

It’s amazing how many DB’s pull up when Mahomes runs. Tackle him hard! -

It was a perfect pass. Have to admit Mahomes most times is better at that than most QBs. -

Nothing new. @ExiledInIllinois does that every home game (in his living room). -

He does that one thing really really well. KC is the polar opposite of our offense. They can't run the ball but they can hit deep throws. -

I agree. We need to get Davis some reps. I know he hasn't dazzled but we need to spell cook. Long season. A few of my additional thoughts: Groot a couple solid run fills but MIA for most of the game. Bosa good , bad and elite. He whiffs on some contain. But he is a closer. INT was bad call and bad sequence by Brady. Going for deep shot on 3rd and 10 in own end was just silly. Rattler was tough and Saints played tough. They are closer to decent than the obnoxious spread. Our defense to me looks like it is often " outflanked" especially....big trouble with contain and QB contain on decent pressure. I don't feel we get pushed around or dominated though. -

Caught the Ravens having no clue what they were doing defensively. Humphery was still looking for the call. -

I like Humphrey continuing to give it to Mahomes out of bounds. If he wants to play bully ball on the sideline as he's done a few times this season, play it with him. -

I know...I know... A wins a win... And I am very happy they are 4-0... I just don't know how long they can keep this up on D... The Bills have one of the best Offenses in the NFL... No team is going to stop them all game... IMHO... Just on the eyeball test, this Saints D looked considerably better than the Bills D today. They were flying around and playing physical. There is not a ton of talent over there. Their D-line is pretty good. Maybe the Bills are similarly talent challenged? I'm not sure... But maybe... Horseshoes and hand grenades aside for a second... We got a pick at the goal line. And that was on a one handed amazing INT by Bishop that easily could have been a TD if the ball is thrown a little higher... Cooks dropped a tough ball, but it was catchable for a TD... And he was wide open. They missed a 2-point conversion...and the Saints still have 19 points... They could easily... EASILY have had 32 points... Like they were inches away from 32 points... AT BUFFALO. Not to mention another roughing penalty that helped make it easier to close the game out. I know we'll be better with Ed and Milano... But how much better? And can Matt stay healthy anymore? Because Dorian Williams is a liability... He's just not good enough. Maybe with Max, Ogunjobi, and especially Hoecht they close the gap... Maybe Sanders and Walker improve by the end of the year and don't hit the rookie wall... Maybe Landon Jackson can come in and contribute down the stretch... Maybe Jordan Hancock can help? None of that addresses the terrible tackling by the guys playing now. None of it addresses the fact that for the better part of 3 plus quarters there is no pass rush from the guys playing now... None of it addresses the fact that receivers are constantly wide open in zones and rarely contested. This has been an issue going back to 2023 for this Defense. Offensive Coordinators know where the gaps are... The cushions are generous... And all too often tackles are missed or even when they are made the offensive players are able to gets a couple extra yards on the contact... It's a tough way to live on D... It's a lot of maybe's on that side... But honestly...In my gut... I'm not feeling it on that side... Feels like last year... And come Playoff time it's going to be trouble. But today it's 4-0 and on to NE... -
