  1. Past hour
  2. Money tied up into the Captain - TB - while he’s been terrible has it been bc of injury? We were counting on him. Not Shaq Thompson. Milano is nowhere near 100 percent. What if I told you in late August Poyer would be playing for Rapp? Bosa is absolutely playing thru something significant. And the Oliver and Hoecht injuries are catastrophic for us bc the next guys up are Jordan Philips and some guy named Mathis? Now Shaq Lawson is coming back? Bc our 3rd round draft capital Landon Jackson (a pick that could have been used in a trade or for a good draft pick) has been a total bust. In case we forgot, the movie last night reminded us another 3rd round pick someone by the name of Dewayne Carter is a DT on this team out for the year. Along with another pick in Dorian Strong. You’re right. It isn’t a 2024 Lions MASH unit. But bc this D lacks studs it needs most if not all important cogs on the field.
  3. Men’s and women’s clothing in the ‘40’s & ‘50’s TV and movies was the crowning point of Hollywood style. For many people back then, commoners if you will, dressing up to attend things was more about pride, most probably didn’t own more than one suit, or nice dress. Hence the term “putting on your Sunday best”. Check out these folks attire standing on the outside to watch a baseball game in the ‘40’s. Today, well…..I swear there are those, and it’s more than a few, who routinely roll out of bed and go out and about in the bottoms they slept in. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
  4. I think anytime you're in the last spot, 7th, and assume you 're going to make it, is whistling past the graveyard.
  5. I honestly pulled out all the stops, and it just wasn’t good enough. Might be time time to hang them up.
  6. So he likes the feeling of losing, huh? 😂 I now see what’s happening here.
  7. Hearing the All-22 breakdowns and how we ran less protection (including 3 drives on injured Spencer Brown) than we normally do, while using mesh constantly (which requires the QB to hold the ball) is insane. If you were an OC and you wanted to get your QB hurt, you’d do what Brady did against an elite pass rush.
  8. Penguins 24 Sabres 21. I have no confidence in this team right now especially the defense. I hope to be proven wrong.
  9. I was scrolling. Beat me to it!
  10. Since they've moved to the expanded playoffs a 10 win AFC team has only missed once (Dolphins 10-6 in 2020). A lot of years a 9-8 team makes it. It always looks tough, but the teams in contention end up playing each other in the back half of the schedule (and somebody has to lose in those matchups). We have tie breakers over BAL and KC. A win over PIT would basically seal 10-7 getting in (we would have a tie breaker over all the bubble teams other than HOU and JAX then and there won't be seven 11 win AFC teams).
  11. I think whoever loses this game is probably missing the playoffs. This is a crossroads for the season imo
  12. Why would simply missing the playoffs and years of 11-13 wins seasons change much internally? They've been so decimated by injury they have a built in excuse one way or another. It's easy to be frustrated but you only get so many Josh Allen prime seasons. While we don't see it as likely......if they can get in the playoffs and get healthy they still have a punchers chance in the most wide-open league in over a decade. They are going to end up finishing near the top of the NFL offensively and probably middle of the pack defensively when it's all said and done. The average SB team finishes around 7th or 8th in those categories so in aggregate they would be close.........and the Manning/Bob Sanders Colts won a SB against Chicago with the worst run defense in football before so their biggest weakness doesn't statistically exclude them either. I'm not optimistic but I'm not giving up or rooting against a playoff berth for want of a pick number 17-18 or something like that.
  13. Pretty big game when it comes to the playoffs. Time to get after it, fellas. Let’s go, Buffalo. Go Bills!
  14. We have to hope Kincaid is healthy for Dec Jan football and Shavers or Coleman emerge They played their guts out. Elam was the only one who didn't show up. Even Bishop and Coleman were at least battling
  15. He still has the passion and fire. What a great Buffalo Bill. Go JA! Go Bills!!
  16. There was a time where I would have done anything for the Bills to hire him. I believe his first game was that Monday night opener against Washington years back. That Eagles offense that night was nothing like I'd ever seen. It was like they were playing a different sport altogether. He's just not on the cutting edge anymore.
  17. When people reference too many injuries on Defense, what exactly are we saying? Hoecht and Oliver are legit losses. Big pieces of what they want to do on the DL. Absolutely an issue. Landon Jackson couldn’t even get active for half the season. Taylor Rapp might have been a decent duo with how Bishop is playing, but would Bishop have become this player with Rapp? Terrel Bernard will be back and needed to sit anyway. Bosa honestly should follow the Bernard example and sit until the playoffs. Unless his wrist can heal while playing, he’s not helpful out there with that injury. But he’s playing or will be back. So im to believe the Defense with a lucrative extension to CB1 Benford, plus a RD1 CB next to him, plus a RD2 stud Safety in Bishop, plus a RD3 LB in Williams with recently extended TB coming back and a healthy Shaq Thompson to with Bosa, Rousseau, Epenesa, $14M in vet DT’s with Jones & Ogunjobi a high draft pick DT and early 4th DT is incapable of giving us adequate defensive play in the postseason? All because we’re down Hoecht and Oliver, plus a couple others that don’t move the needle. Thats not a MASH unit. A MASH unit is what Detroit had last year with over half their starters out including Aidan Hutchinson.
  18. Not sure if any NFL team is interested in Joe Brady besides Raiders and Cleveland Browns. They can have him.
  19. Please just let me be snarky. No need for real facts here.
  20. Pete Carrol is going to be one and done. They hired a 70 year old to win now, even traded for his old QB and they got blown out at home today by Cleveland. it was a hire that made no sense at the time and it’s impossible to run it back with how the season has gone. There is simply nothing to build on this season. Fee nice players, but that culture is rotten
  21. Lucy is the 1st person I think of and is my pick. She’s a Mt. Rushmore lock. Was the driving force for the boom of TV sales in the ‘50’s. I still often bust out, even after watching the entire “I Love Lucy” series every winter for decades. Only other sitcom I have made that kind of commitment to watch is Seinfeld, which of course I laugh at non stop most every time.
  22. Maybe I'm in the minority, but I'm finally relaxing about this season. I cranked the numbers on players lost to injury and am amazed that we are competing at all. I feel like if this team can sneak into the playoffs and get healthy it could be a very exciting playoffs. If not, Beane/McD and Co have a film room of video showing the holes in the team, specifically on defense and WR. I'm to the point where lets just see what happens. Maybe I feel this way a little because of my college teams (IU & UGA) are in the hunt to win in all.
  23. The Bills core is Allen, Oliver, Rousseau, Dawkins and Brown. The Chiefs comparable core is Mahomes, Jones, Kelce and Smith and McDuffie. Their edge has largely been that they still had superstars who were there before Mahomes arrived.........the Bills do not have superstars who preceded Allen. It's been harder for both teams to find those once they had the superstar QB putting them in SB contention every year. But as far as drafting in general their success since McBeane arrived has been pretty close.
  24. My problem with missing the playoffs, getting a better draft pick - it’s not going to force any necessary front office changes. It’s not worth debating bc Pegula isn’t firing anyone. Because of Josh we have a punchers chance in the playoffs, but we know bc of this roster we aren’t good enough. Good. But not good enough. Too many injuries on defense and the worst collection of weapons for Josh since 2018. We also might have coordinators not cut out for this. Good. But overmatched. I don’t know what the answer is. But I know if I’m the owner best solution might be - I waste zero time firing Beane and getting someone that has 3-5 years to figure it out. Then, if by Josh’s final act (age 34-39 seasons) that new regime hasn’t figured it out - I can hire another for one last chance to do so. Clock is ticking Terry.
