This. It was maddening watching the play clock run down on every snap. So much confusion pre snap.

We unfortunately need an HUGE salary purge and a rebuild. We have no/low talent and somehow no cap space. However I ask - what will change if we keep McD and draft small, slow, unexplosive players whom McD doesn’t trust to start?? palmer should be on the cut list- he makes nearly 12 million and has what 12 catches!? Oliver has a huge cap number, he makes more than former all pro Q Williams and would free up 12 million. He is hurt half the time and only makes an impact the half he does play. He also has trade value. I’d move him for a mid round pick I love Spencer brown but we’d also save 15 million moving on from him. He should also bring a nice draft pick in return. And if we draft well we should be able to replace him with a 2nd round rookie

A change is needed and has been needed. The people resistant to change will point to what they’ve accomplished in their time here. That’s fine. I think though, we are at a point where we can all agree that they’re trending in the wrong direction. This team is worse now than they were 5 years ago. The bad drafts, contracts, and scheme are catching up. Does anyone feel like running it back next year will yield better results?? If so, based on what?? Please don’t say injuries either. Every team has them and the Bills have largely played with their best players outside of Oliver (and recently Kincaid). They aren’t this inconsistent, and often overwhelmed, because a few guys are out. What logical signs are you seeing to say, it’ll be better next year?

Why not play uptempo with the no-huddle?

They ran some no huddle and Allen got destroyed. -

The drive before the half was so insane and pathetic, I honestly was completely done with McDermott at that moment. Any .00001% faith I had left was gone after that. I was basically there after 13 seconds, but forgave McDermott. Then the AFC championship where KC had 17 1st downs IN THE 1ST HALF and his most efficient game of the year lol. Yeah I was done But that last drive before the half. My God was that disgusting -
They will not get rid of McD. The Bills aren't like a lot of other teams. They were irrelevant for years and years, going through countless coaches and philosophies, then they finally got a guy who truly changed the fortunes around and made them a perennial contender. Now you can say Josh Allen had more to do with this and I'd agree with you, but he did break the drought before Allen arrived and he does run a tight ship and has accumulated a lot of wins. No way they fire him and risk going back to irrelevancy. The Bills are the equivalent of a man with low self esteem and confidence who finally gets an attractive woman to marry him. There's no way he's ever divorcing her, no matter how much of a pain in the a*s she becomes.

Is watching the Bills fun for you these days?

After lasts night game my wife asked me if I'm "into torture in the bedroom or just watching footballm -
A better coached team wins that game handily. We started off great and Mills was awful early then our offensive and defensive play calling got cute and McD again mismanaged the game as per usual. It’s the reason every year we don’t get the 1 seed and it’s the reason we fall flat in the playoffs to better coached teams.

Old enough to remember in the K-Gun, Jim Kelly was basically calling the plays he thought would work. In the Giants Superbowl, that became a problem, because Bills weren't burning any clock when we were scoring and our defense couldn't get off the field.
-
Thats never happening. Teams have eaten far more in cap space (Denver and russell wilson) and made the playoffs the next year. Bills need to clean house on defense and that means Mcdermott too. That game was lost in the 2nd quarter when Bills made Davis Mills look like an All Pro.

Division is out at this point…have to do it as a wildcard

Not just for division hopes but I think that’s why last night stings for me so much. Maybe I’m overtired or to fresh from the loss because right now I feel like I do after a playoff loss ending the season. It’s not like any of this was not already in my face but last night really hit hard. 1. No chance of winning a Super Bowl with this defense 2. No chance of winning a Super Bowl with this WR group 3. No chance this team wins 3 tough games in a row on the road to get to Super Bowl 7-4 absolutely this team to get in playoffs but the nail is in the coffin for the ultimate goal. -

The season is over. This team ain’t winning 2 or 3 road playoff games as a wildcard. We just lost to a backup QB -
nope. Even if they won the game last night. It's boring football and has lost what made them good.

Pats might not get past the 1st round of the playoffs, once they start playing good teams. No team on the AFC is dominant. Should be a pretty wide open tournament. Just need to get somewhat healthy and get in it.
