  1. Past hour
  2. The vaunted “Paper Curtain” defense
  3. I would say the Eagles will present the same type of challenge. Overall solid team. Barkley will probably run for 1,000 yards in this game alone. Good QB and receivers. The Bills will need at least 30 and probably more to come away with the win.
  4. How about the Jell-O defense. You can eat it all day long, but if you get too much of it, it makes you sick, as the Ravens found out.
  5. Jackson got a lil boo boo and had to pull himself because he's baby soft charmin. That's the measure I looked at...
  6. And in the eyes of some refs riding the DB would be PI. It's a toss your hands up situation.
  7. Great win but, as always, Allen is forced to shoulder too much of the load. Coaching and defense continue to be an anchor on this team.
  8. Good point. It's just a metric, useful as long as clear what it's measuring. Same with QBR and EPA. (As I recall, Lamar is higher than Allen in QBR, too, but lower in EPA.)
  9. The GIRD Herd, because they give me heartburn every game.
  10. There's a great and touching Bills documentary with Vincent Gallo and Tim Russert talking about Bills fandom (Gallo tells some stories about his mom) that came out probably 15-20 years ago. I'll occasionally try to find it on YouTube, but never have much luck.
  11. I feel like Babich may be in over his head.
  12. I quit looking at that stat years ago.
  13. Jackson had a really high yards per attempt at 11.0. Josh Allen's was 8.6. Jackson also had a higher completion percentage. That is why his score is a lot higher. Also, he scored as many passing TDs as Allen, but with far fewer attempts. Passer rating isn't a measure of the quality or production of passing. It is a measure of the efficiency of the passing. It measures completion percentage, yards per attempt, touchdown percentage, and interception percentage. It's a perfectly good measure of a QB. It isn't flawed or antiquated. It means what it means and it doesn't mean anything else. It should be taken into consideration with other stats to understand the performance of the QB. Lamar Jackson was indeed a much more efficient passer than Josh Allen in week 1. He produced what he did with far fewer passes than Allen, so his efficiency score is higher even if his production wasn't.
  14. I know I’ve started threads here about Buffalo 66 in the past. As it turns out Vincent Gallos mom really is that big a Bills fan and more vs the character in that film. Perhaps some here recognize her from games? I think a good chance she sees her life long goal of a Super Bowl this year https://spectrumlocalnews.com/nys/buffalo/news/2023/09/15/original-bills-fan-has-missed-three-home-games-since-1960
  15. yea without a replay my best guess was that it was chalked as incidental contact knocking him out that Keon didn’t fight through. Essentially he willingly rode the contact out to get around the defender instead of pushing for an inbounds option?
  16. It is early days. No one played much in pre-season. Lots of new young players. Significant injuries and suspensions. I suspect we will be seeing a much better defense as the year progresses. Fortunately, the schedule is fairly soft early. By November I think we will see a B+ defense. And that's more than enough for Allen and company.
  17. Well last night sucked. Hopefully they can rebound today.
  18. Great win but I'd like to see some form of defense. The frenzy of "epic" or "instant classic" is over the top IMHO.
  19. America First baby! Or was it last?
