Babich and McD have been making awesome halftime adjustments. Many games the Bills D got run over in the first half, and tightened up in second half. Cossel said the Bills D does not have the talent, but are schemed better, so they are greater than the sum of their parts. I still don't think it would have been overturned. I think the original call would have stood because of the "incontrovertible evidence" rule. However I have changed my mind from yesterday in the sense that I now agree McDermott should have challenged it. It's 3rd down and the worst case scenario is you lose a 1st half TO. Maybe the ball movement is enough to overturn it and force a punt so the risk/reward is worth it. It's a tougher call than fans are making it out to be though. The replay is not conclusive by any means and he had like 20 seconds to decide without any clear go ahead from his replay guy. I think most fans are particularly angry because they are 100% sure it would have been overturned. I remain unconvinced.

Chiefs have been too 6 straight championship games and won three super bowls. This is not a coincidence. Reid is a first year eligible hall of fame coach. McDermott is not close to his level.

The major sports at Syracuse (football, basketball) are in really sad shape. I hope they can turn it around somehow. I worry SU’s time as a relevant player in basketball has passed. The Boeheim exit was really handled poorly.

If you insist on a comparison, how many 4th qtr comebacks does Maye have on his NFL resume through 2 years? I'll give a hint it --- it equals my total of NFL 4th qtr comebacks. Josh had 8 by end of year 2. 3 rookie season / 5 in 2nd year. Maye is very good, but he has yet to lead his team back in the clutch moments or win a shoot-out game (maybe you can count Week 2 vs Miami) --- but the Pats defense has held opponents to an avg of ~19 ppg and before yesterday, they gave up a season high to Miami in week 2 (27 points). So Allen wasn't elite in 2019 either --- I'll admit that. But like I told PatsFan, Allen had a meteoric rise in 2020. 4,500 passing yards/420 rushing yards/37 passing TDs/8 rushing TDs. Let's see if Maye can get to that "elite" level next season --- or if he can even pull out a 4th qtr comeback by then.
