A Few Thoughts about the Chiefs Game - Community Edition

As someone else mentioned, this is today’s NFL. Many games are won by big offensive plays late. The Cincy/Bears game took it to an extreme but it’s been happening frequently. -
Its funny to see how beloved he already is after less than 2 games when the vast majority of this board crapped all over his signing all offseason, both before and after the PED announcement came out. I kept telling people this dude can ball and was going to be a key player on this defense, but all anyone wanted to do was crap on the signing because they had not heard of him. Rams fans were bummed to see him go despite Bills fans being less than enthused to sign him. Reminds of when we signed Hyde and people kept crapping on that signing too while Packers fans were not happy to see him leave. Its a real bummer the injury happened, I had been amped up for his debut and in less than 2 games he was already making his mark. Solomon came in after he went down and actually had some nice reps, so not sure how they manage the DL moving forward, but I definitely think with Hoecht, Ed, and Carter out for most or rest of season Beane may be active ahead of the deadline.

Didn't have to read through, so not sure if this was discussed, but I do remember somebody mentioned it even in GDT. I am watching all-22 and on that 4&2 Kincaid was wide open for 1st down. I don't get why he wasn't 1st read for Josh. We still should've just rush Cook instead but the play was there. -
just looked. 33 snaps 55% per Sal Hoecht only played 24 snaps and the pass rush still generated havoc all game which is hopefully encouraging sign

What does the s in snap stand for?

💯 agree! The Pats are a GOOD(ish) team winning games they should win. Maye for a 2nd year QB has pretty much played out of his mind and won like 5 games for this team on his own his accuracy has just been amazing to me. But to be a good/great team you would have to be able survive with any major injuries on either side of the ball and I just don’t think they have the depth to do that. (This my comment about Boutte being out) -
Insane stat re: Josh Allen rushing TD's.........

I was running the numbers today: he has never had a season under 6 rushing TDs. past two seasons have seen him score 15 and 12 TDs respectively. this year he is already at 7 in 8 games there is no reason to think he won’t do 10+ each year for the next 3-4 seasons. not only do I think he will make it to 124, he may reach 140 -

He is pretty underrated as a player, all things considered. Would love to see a blind poll of all GMs on who they would take if they had the first pick in a hypothetical draft pool of all current NFL players. My guess is that everyone outside of KC would take Allen, and the Chiefs would think long and hard about taking him too. -
Same. Does anyone know his official snap count? Did Cousin Skeeter see the field at all??
-
They're going to have to trade for a DL. It's just nuts. Then next year they are going to have like 100 guys

Cook has really mastered waiting for and finding the holes. He looks so smooth, like vintage Marcus Allen or LeVeon Bell. Ray Davis comes in running the same plays and gets stuffed. -
Barry Bonds muscles will forever miss you. Fun fact, Victor was the bassist for Tower of Power in the 70s. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/2025/11/03/victor-conte-steroids-scandal-dies-balco/86292983007/

Shoutout to Deone Walker for a HUGE stop of Hunt at the 1 right before the half The rookie is solid -
Glad to see she owns your brain. Here is another witch getting grilled.

I don't remember seeing Milano involved in any plays
-
Bishop somehow has to be in there...he made the most impactful plays on D in the game, IMO

To me the Steelers game is irrelevant for this argument because I think we can agree that while that Patriots may be better than them, they aren't THAT much better. If the Pats and Steelers played 10 times, it would probably be an even split 5 to 5. The Bills are the better team over the Pats hands down and only beat them because we turned the ball over 3 times. If us and the Pats play 10 times, I would still say the Bills would win 7 or 8 out of 10. Big difference there. -

give us Waddle and then the gameplan can be Josh chucking bombs to him all day 🤣 -

Be Honest I am not really sure. I suspect they get another edge rusher but no huge flashy name someone they get for like a mid round draft pick.. I’d be giddy happy if they got AJ Brown but that be way to expensive draft capital wise.. IMO this team needs a lot more than 1 WR.. but god be fun see what Maye would do with a proven top tier talent still in his prime. (Diggs been a dang good team leader) -

Currently Josh has 72 rushing TDs (in 7-1/2 seasons, 118 starts), he is averaging 10.37 rushing TDs per season (counting starts only). Currently Jalen has 60 rushing TDs (in 5-1/2 seasons, 74 starts), he is averaging 13.78 rushing TDs per season (counting starts only). If they both stay healthy and their averages maintain as they are, Hurts would pass Josh for number one in rushing TDs in the last game of the 2028 season (3-1/2 years from now). As far as health, Hurts has missed 8 games in 5.5 seasons, Josh has missed only 1 game over the same span. So, if that trend continued about the same, it might take Hurts until mid-way through the 2029 season (about 4 years from now) to pass Josh in rushing TDs (if everything else basically stayed stats quo). I thought people were saying that Josh had already passed Cam Newton, but it looks as if Cam had 75 rushing TDs, so Josh would still need 3 more for the tie and 4 more to take over first place---I expect that will happen soon (this season). As far as post-season, Hurts is in 9th place all-time with 10 playoff rushing TDs---the most of any active player. Josh has 7 post-season rushing TDs---tied with Mahomes, Henry, Hunt, and Aaron Jones (as far as active players). Josh would need 10 more post-season rushing TDs to take the franchise record (Thurman has 16 post-season rushing TDs---tied with Franco Harris for 2nd all-time, behind only Emmittt Smith))---that would also move him into 2nd place all-time, if he were to do that (and Hurts didn't pass him in the meantime). But 10 more post-season TDs is a lot, considering only 9 players in NFL history have 10 or more playoff rushing TDs in their careers. -
Well Beane, it's almost dark outside......let's get a few players in here to soup the roster up
-
Can we sign cousin skeeter to the active roster?
