Allen missed a wide open Knox on the final play
Kelly to Allen replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'll hold Allen accountable when he has a competent coach Allen already did his job multiple times over the years, including doing " elway the drive" not once but twice in the final mins and his coach flushed it down the toilet. So did Allen miss knox. Yeah Was Allen bad. Yeah Do I care? No. Because they're never going anywhere with this regime. Allen is the only reason we're even relevant -
Division is out at this point…have to do it as a wildcard

I agree, the change has to be a legitimate upgrade. Answer - I don't know. But i'd be looking in the general direction of the best available OC, who would salivate at the prospect of a JA17 led offense. -
Especially in road games this year, the O Line has been getting physically whipped alot. The regressions are so clear from last year to this year. The Oline is more than a tick down, and the WR play/chemistry is way off. Also, Allen is not seeing the field sometimes, or panicking and running himself directly into sacks.

Seeing him throw to Knox would have been great to see him find a wide open guy, but the play WOULDN'T HAVE COUNTED ANYWAY! I don't understand why people can't comprehend this. -

Had no affect on Knox’s route whatsoever. Wish Allen would’ve stayed calm, but it’s understandable why he didn’t when he’s getting sacked 13 times. -
Good rant. I feel your pain and feel the same as a 63 year old that gets his hopes up every year only to see half effort bumbling and stumbling across the board. There is no hope. Beane and McDingleberry will never be fired. The Bills are making money and Josh is cash cow. The only way it changes is if Josh has had enough and demands it and he never will. We will just have to watch his career slowly go downhill as he gets beat up. Window is closed.

From the standpoint of a guy who was once a huge Sabres fan over the Bills... The most important thing for Terry Pegula is his own comfort in the building. He wants to feel like he has a voice that is respected, and he wants to feel like he has people in place who he deems are quality "authentic" (his and Kim's word) and trustworthy. A nod to a bit of devout faith is a bonus as well. He is more than comfortable with McDermott and Beane in all those ways. Watching Hard Knocks cements that feeling for me. Pegula stammering around and Beane and McDermott catering to that. The calls for change arent loud at all. This is Buffalo and the talk of that is basically confined to message boards and group texts. The Buffalo news is declawed and WGR is no tiger. Nationally, there is zero talk of changes in Buffalo.

Only thing that would have saved the game at least for another play is if he hit him for the 1st down. The penalty would have been called and would have had to be accepted by Houston as the Bills would have a 1st down otherwise. Would have made it 4th and 16. Not ideal, but better than the garbage way the game ended. -
I bloody wish. Useless clapper cant even get his own side of the ball right. And hasn't been able to for years. 33 points against per playoff exit 🤣🤣 Which are usually lower scoring games. That his speciality, his side of the ball ffs! We have a damned defensive head coach who cant come up with a defense And I know there are a group who want to peddle some ***** about how much they keep us in games like this one and the Falcons one after half time (which is true to be fair!). Same people casually ignoring that he repeatedly lets mash units and QBs like Penix and Mills cruise up and down the field for 20 points in the first half. Mills was missing guys by 5+ yards for the first half - and still got to 20 points!!! Letting their pass rush tee off on us because we are behind. Then claiming success as we shut it down a bit second half, Wake up people. He is ***** at his job. The sooner everyone can freely admit that, the better.

We are going to be having the exact same conversations this time next year when McDermott and Beane are still around. Rinse, cycle, repeat. I think Beane makes a splash in the off-season to try to save face and it ends up being a mistake. The team needs a different set of eyes and ears. And a lot of good fortune. -

He had no time to find Knox with 2 guys in his face. As it was most of the night. -

They should have used Anderson as the 6th OL man for most of this game. Lucky Allen is still in one piece

might have something to do with Gabe running into the defender like a missile and committing the offensive pass interference. -

By the way, not complaining about our Superman QB. But it's just a fact that earlier in the season Baker Mayfield's club was down 19-13 at Houston. He got the ball with 2:04 remaining at their own 20. after a fast 10 plays, the Bucs scored a TD with 9 seconds left to win it. My point? It's not an impossible thing to do. The best QB should be able to get that done. I guess the team around him and the coaching blows in that situation. -
I was at the game and let me tell you what was happening downfield

I stayed home on my comfy couch and saw a Buffalo Bills team with to many injuries to beat any team. I saw poor pass protection and 8 sacks. I saw 3 turn overs by the Bills and none by the Texans. I saw my bank account grow by staying home and not flying to Houston.
