JimmyPage
I would describe Edwards as a Chad Pennington with a stronger arm. Pennington killed opponents with ball control and was able to take mediocre teams further than most QBs would be able to.

They are both smart players - that's about the only similarity. It's hard to come up with a good comparison.

Cynical
A. Joe Ferguson B. Vince Ferragamo C. Frank Reich D. Trent Edwards Answer: D If he continues to progress, he'll make a name for himself. In the future, we will not compare Edwards to anybody else, everybody else will be compared to Trent Edwards.

Just going to say the same thing. Trent Edwards doesn't need comparisons, hopefully people will soon enough compare young stars to him.

The Dean
Bart Starr? Bob Griese? Just throwing those out there. They are QBs who were smart, and knew how to manage, and win, games. Both were accurate, but didn't have cannons for arms.

34-78-83
A taller Bill Nelsen with better knees. Was it Bills 50% career completion percentage, his Career 70 rating or the fact that he threw more INT's than Td's the deciding factor? His teams did win a lot of games though.....
