A new Buffalo?

Recommended Posts

This is a hotel-office-condo building.  The British developer who wants to build it is the same guy who recently bought the Statler building and is starting an $80 million dollar makeover of that property.

If this guy does these 2 projects, I think we may see more things happening downtown.  The biggest part of this deal is that there is no talk of public money involved in the project.

Git R' done!

Does anybody know who this British developer is?

Here's some info for you, but be forwarned - his construction projects are all under investigation because he does not hire Mohawk 'steelwalkers' nor advocate the time-honored practice of 'red-hot rivet catching'... <_<

Between that giant arch, the new bridge to Canada, the Adelphia tower, and now this tower, we're well on our way to a pretty awesome make-believe city.

Look real nice while one is speeding along the 190 at 60 miles an hour right past it on their way to the Falls...

:thumbsup::wallbash:

Not that I don't like it... How can this be anything but rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. My point is that there needs to be other issues addressed first.

Do you mean like getting buisnesses to commit to moving to the area to fill these buildings?

No. Like redesigning the nightmareish layout of the city... You have Thruway and 4 lane highway passing the number asset in city... Whizzing people right by!

you keep on saying this, but what do you want to do? turn a major artery into a 4 lane parkway?

just about every city has a major highway running by it, it allows people to get to their **jobs**

Yeah, but not every city's major highway prevents waterfront development. Buffalo managed to put highway pretty much along ALL the best waterfront property.
