TBD Playoff Hockey pick 'em

Me and some friends used to run a playoff hockey pick 'em every season thru most of college. Well, with the new season, i figured i'd bring it back to life here on TBD.

 

Rules are simple. At the beginning of each round, you pick the winner of each series and the number of games they will win in. After each round i will tally the points, and accept the entries for the next round. Heres the points breakdown:

 

Points for series winner - points for number of games correct

 

1st round: 2-1 (24 points possible)

2nd round: 3-2 (20)

conference finals: 5-3 (16)

Stanley Cup Finals: 7-4 (11)

LOL, I'm only a Bills fan my brother. Everything else for me is Pittsburgh and Penn State. I look at the Sabres like I always do. Grit, hustle, and not enough talent to win when it starts counting for real.

 

But, I do hope they win the series, and I'm pulling for them. I mean, who in the hell actually likes Philly? I'll actually be in Carolina this weekend for game 1 of that series. Gotta get my hockey fix somewhere and the Canes are the closest thing to hockey here in VA. It's actually a charged atmosphere for the Canes in the playoffs. Should be fun.

In 2002 I went to a Canes playoff game. When the canes were on the powerplay a guy behind me kept yelling "shoot the ball!, shoot the ball!"

 

I went to the Sabres / Canes game on Tuesday. I began to chat with a few Canes fans sitting near me and two of them asked me if the Sabres were going to be in the playoffs.
