Nick in RaChaCha
NJSUE I just read your post about the change in the board. I know I have not been posting as much as I used to... (damn my new job with all its responsibility!) but I lurk when I can. And your right, there is a lot of negativity on the board right now. I guess people are getting frustrated with how our beloved team is playing and we are starting to take it out on the people on this board. The truth is that this board is a family... and sometimes families bicker, B word and fight with each other. That's what is happening now! However, when the chips are down and a TBDer needs help or advice (or even a shoulder to cry on)... This board has never, EVER, turned it's back on someone in pain. Maybe we can all take a minute and remember a thread that made their day. (Ill go first ) Thanks to all the people who sent me their support when I lost someone close to me to cancer. (about 5 weeks ago) That thread and the PMs that went with it ment the world to me. It was not a long thread... but it was the best "read" I"ve ever had Nick in RaChaCha Go Bills! USMCBillsFan
While I was deployed my Grandmother passed away and I received many good wishes and condolences from the board. As for a thread that made it. They are numerous. The funny ones work. The good vibes coming after Pat Tillman's passing is something that I will always remember. But in your case, it's the avatar! Guffalo
This place was a pretty good support mechanism for me after 9/11, I was at the game that Sunday, flew in over the towers Sunday night, and Tuesday was 9/11. The morning of the 12th I just dumped my day onto this board, my wife read it and cried. I had told this place what happened before her.
ICE
Here is the problem nick, several of the posters will turn on you and use those events against you. It has happened to me as early as today. this board as a whole has lost a ton of what it used to be. The core is still there, but it isn't what it once was. Guffalo, that was one great post you had brother. I kinda wish we could dig it and others on that day and the 12th and put it in its own TBD archive to go back and reflect on from time to time. njsue
Mine was about what State Farm did to me. How they threw me out of the office like I was a piece of garbage. Some people on this board tried help me find a job. Who I thanked tremedously. What I learned when somepeople treat you wrongly. Is what comes around goes around. That office is laying people off by next march. Or they are reapplying for there jobs. I have got those who had done me dirty by the edge. If I see any of them sitting in the lobby waiting for an interview, well Auntie NJSue loves you Gus and all children. If I get the pleasure to meet you, promise to spoil you. R. Rich
I had every reason to be skeptical of meeting people from this board, but once I did, I found they're great people. We're all Bills fans who lead different lives and thus have different experiences and points of view to share. That is what makes this community of ours special. We support each other in times of need and cheer the individual successes we have from time to time. The list of people I've met from the board and have gotten to know as friends is long (getting longer by the tailgate) and for that, I could never thank you all enough. I've been able to help some of you out with game tapes, photos, game tickets, or whatever else and have also received CDs, game tapes, trading cards, recipes, and well wishes from you guys also. That kind of give and take is why I still come here. This isn't my home away from home; this is a home to me.

#89
this place saved my life. I would have lost all hope if not for you all. I found you when I was a happily married Bills fan and would sit at the computer and just laugh. My husband would be watching TV and ask what was so funny. He never read this Wall. When he became ill you were there for me. When he died you were THERE FOR ME BIG TIME. I printed out that Thread when I told you all Larry had died. You helped me mourn. You made me smile. The roses that were sent on behalf of the wallers were shared by his loved ones and mine is dried and by my computer. So many great friendships have formed. Boston doc wrote me support daily and I truly needed it. The knowledge of the people here is unmatched. Randy my Dr in Jacksonville helped me with some medical questions for my sister's scare and for mine. At least we knew what to ask the Dr's and then he explained what we really didn't understand. I love when the Bills are winning and there is the lightheartedness on here. When we help each other out and pick on each other in jest. stevestojan and Rosen for posters names. Come on people lighten up again. The Gus thread, GUFF's 9/11 thread and just the reminder gave me goosebumps. I remember that I was typing info as fast as I could because we have TV's in the Dub center. It was unbelievable. The FAT threads were great. Reminded me of the old times. Happy that we have the PPP board that I do not read and the PM's so we can get up close and personal. Having met many at tailgates and at lot 1 pole 6. That the guys are willing to be hugged and even some of the girls. Heck even some of the kids got use to me hugging and NG's son Danny just looked at his DAD the first year. I think the hugging got better after I got the moulds jersey signed for him. Sometimes a good hug gives great bebefits. RIGHT JAY? I found out he has a hairy chest. hubba hubba. OK too many threads to say but I just LOVE THIS PLACE and I'm glad I decided to read this thread.

I have met a few of the TBD posters at the friday garbage plate get togethers at Nike's. Then there the other ones I have never met but it feels like I know them from some of there posts. I have seen everyone come together in times of trouble for other members and I have seen some posters getting a much deserved RED ASSING (is that a word?) when needed. Above all, I think of you folks as part of my Bills family and look forward to meeting more of you in the future. In the immortal words of Rodney King, "Can't we all just get along?"
