  1. Ok, Looking for advice here. I'm taking my family (3 kids 12,8,6) to the game tomorrow. I have never been to the "Family Game" What time should I arrive? (looking to introduce the kids to the "tailgate experience") What activities are there for the kids and where are they located? (stadium or parking lot) Any advice is welcome. Thanks in advance Nick
  2. I agree - Last year they beat NE** when Tommy was playing and they Split with us... They are a good (solid) team and have the potential to go deep into the playoffs (but the same can be said for the Bills and of course NE**) There are no easy wins in this division. The Jets are better on D which was damn good last year. Bills have an advantage over the rest of the Division due to Brady* being suspended for our game and the Jets and Miami will have to face Tommy* twice. It is a real possibility that the whole division goes 3-3 against each other. One thing for sure - No one wants to play against our division this year.
  3. I focused on EJ at Sunday's Camp. Timed him with my phone when he was dropping back when he was doing 7x7. He consistently threw the ball around the 4 second mark and his throws even when caught were off target. Look - I have been an EJ supporter. I want him to succeed. But to my untrained eye - he does not look like he has improved at all over last year. Just my 2 cents.
  4. I know this is a story from 2012 - but it relates to your way of thinking. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/06/20/it-aint-over-the-business-secret_n_1607385.html?IMissMyGrandma Helping someone for the sake of helping in never a bad thing.
  5. ESPN reporting that 3 out 4 of Spikes tires were deflated and were not "Road Legal". Reports out of the PATS* camp - "There is no truth in the report that any of the tires were deflated and even if they were - it would have made no difference in the outcome of the crash"
  6. I bet you go DT or NT with your first pick. Danny Shelton DT from Washington should be there (or best available - maby a WR) Then La'el Collins LSU OT at 19
  7. I would seriously give up our first rounder for the next 4 years for Brees
  8. We need guards that can pull - so we can get back to running screens. If we sign Bulagu it will be to play RT - We should only move Henderson to guard if he can pull to help on screens. (I just don't think he is athletic enough to do that... but my judgement might be clouded by my memory of how terrible our line was last year.) So Signing Bulagu is upgrading our RT position but we would still have a hole at guard. /ramble
  9. Heard on WGR which quoted a "reliable" source that Richie I. has been black listed by the league - He will never play again.
  10. Week 8 - Bills @ Jets Win Week 10 - KC @ Buff Win Week 11 - Bills @ Fish Win Week 12 - Jets @ Bills Win Week 13 - Browns @ Bills Win Week 14 - Bills @ Denver Loss Week 15 - Packers @ Bills Loss Week 16 - Bills @ Oakland Win Week 17 - Bills at NE* Loss
  11. Take a look at the block that Wood threw on Jackson's long run in overtime against Chicago - (wgr had a nice clip of it on their website) he was blocking the NT and with one hand punched blocked the MLB who was rushing through the gap to get to Jackson. Wood destroyed the MLB while maintaining his block on the NT It was a hell of a play - without that block Jackson does not run the ball to the 1yard line - He would have be dropped in the back field for a loss.
  12. A lot of the EJ bashers are focusing on Passing Yards per game and Number of throws... They want 300 yards per game and 35+ attempts. To grade EJ objectively, you have to look at each offensive game plan for the two games so far this year. In each game the Philosophy of the game plan was to run the ball and the game clock. (notice we are not in the no huddle) And when the Safety moves into the box for run support - EJ was to throw to the hole in the zone. Which he is doing... Look, We have two excellent running backs and a back-up RB who is pretty darn good and one of the biggest OL in the game. The whole philosophy for the team is to RUN the DAMN ball down the throats of a defense... And have EJ make plays on 3rd down (and Short) to keep the chains moving. Which he is doing. Is he doing it with panache? No - but even the worst EJ critic has to understand that two of his 3 starting receivers were not on the team last year. (Remember Brady last year have trouble throwing to his new corp of receivers? ) Game chemistry between a QB and a receiver takes time. I'll also take what might be a unpopular viewpoint on our red zone issues - I think it is more CJ and Jackson's fault then EJ's. I thought the the running attempts in the red zone were terrible calls that showed no imagination. The result was 3rd and longs - which EJ did not complete.
  13. I was working for the one of the Government's Intel agencies in VA at the time. Everyone was watching the TV after the first plane hit the Tower. I remember thinking that it was a pilot suicide or something like that. (I think I was in shock) Then the second plane hit. In that moment everyone in the room had the same thought. "We were under attack and it was Bin Laden" I ran to my office grabbed outside line and called my wife who worked for the Bureau of Prisons. They had a close relative if Bin Laden in custody so they were a target. I remember shouting that I was on an unsecured line and for everyone in the office to STFU. I told my wife to grab everyone who will listen to her and get out of the building. I told her to stay in one of the parks or to grab a cab and get out of DC. (She wanted to take a train - I told her that the train station is a higher target the her building.) She told me that she heard an explosions and there was smoke by the Capital (less then 1/2 mile away from her office) I told her to ignore the news and people in the street and find a way home. (Columbia MD) She ended up getting a cab - the cabbie charged her $200 - twice the amount it should have been. Didn't care then - still don't. She asked if I was leaving - I quickly said "Soon" and hung up after saying "I love you" I called a friend at the Pentagon " Told him what we knew - He said they were just told to evacuate.he hung up. He got out ok... My office regrouped and started to do some work - sending information. It was about this time when all the planes in the area were diverted and their flight paths seemed to be directly over my building. It was extremely nerve wreaking to hear those big jets scream over the building. ( I worked in the basement and I swear I could feel the building shake) When word came for use to evac - we quickly left. I think the scared est I have ever been was when I was running to my car which was parked in the lower level of a parking garage. (all that concrete over my head) I took me 4 hours to get home. I did not report to work the next day. my nerves were shot. I did report to work after that. Worked there for about 6 months then returned home to Western NY
