harryS Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago I can be talked out of it (lol, as if anyone cares) but I'm probably going to root for the Steelers tonight and for the Pats to beat the Ravens. I just find the scenario where we win the division to be too unlikely. I'd rather just go for the 5 seed and hope that the 4 seed are the Steelers instead of the Ravens, who have turned it around on defense. We are 0-4 when scoring 20 points or fewer, and playing Baltimore on the road is a situation that can hold down our scoring. Would rather play an average D like the Steelers. 1 Quote

sven233 Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago My #1 goal? Keep the Ravens out, especially as they seem to be getting healthier. So, rooting for the Steelers tonight and we'll see what next week brings. I can't bring myself to root for the Pats*, but if it takes them winning to put the Ravens down, so be it. Yes, I still want to win the division, but really that comes down to us handling our business and the Pats* to lose to a terrible Jets team or a Dolphins team with nothing to play for in week 18. Needless to say, our chances aren't great to win the division anyway. So, I'm ready to have to go on the road and win 3 games. But, if we can get the Steelers in instead of the Ravens, I would much prefer that. If the Steelers hold the Ravens off, the road to the Super Bowl could start with beating the Steelers and Jags on the road to get to the AFC Championship. Is it a guarantee we win those games? Of course not. But I think I'll take my chances with those teams rather than having to deal with Henry in the snow and cold going up against our run defense that can't tackle anyone in their stadium in the first round. But, that's just me. 1 Quote
Rockinon Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago (edited) Best case, a Ravens loss, but not before they beat up on NE. Knock a couple of key players out ahead of their matchup with Miami. Although, Milano healthy and the LBs as a whole looking better, plus the possibility of getting Oliver back, I think the Bills will matchup better against the Ravens in the playoffs. May be wishful thinking though...haha. Edited 9 hours ago by Rockinon Quote

And we want Miami tonight with the hope that they might be playing for something in week 18 vs NE. Quote
bills6969 Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Asteroid. in all seriousness, I really don’t want Ravens making the playoffs. A playoff game on the road in Baltimore is worst case scenario imo. Quote

Brandon Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago I just want Baltimore out. At home or on the road, I like the Bills' playoff chances better against anyone else rather than Derrick Henry against this run defense. 1 Quote

More likely we face the ravens round 1 then we win the division and the ravens/pats game doesn’t even really matter to get the division. We need the Patriots to lose to either Miami or the Jets and we can just take care of business against the Browns Eagles and Jets Quote

mjt328 Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago The Bills cannot win the AFC East unless the Patriots lose to either the Dolphins or Jets. Period. It doesn't matter if we win-out the remainder of the season. It doesn't matter if the Patriots lose next week to the Ravens. The only way that game matters is to give us an extra cushion if we lose to the Eagles. Meanwhile, the Steelers have a very slim margin for error here. Anyone counting out the Ravens are crazy. Nobody knows if Lamar Jackson will suddenly get healthy one of these weeks. I would love to win the AFC East as much as anyone. But the chances are extremely low, regardless of what we do the rest of the way. And it's certainly within the realm of possibility that we end up heading to Baltimore in the Wild Card Round... against a newly healthy Ravens squad. 1 Quote

I read today the Bills have given up 185+ yards in a game a whopping SIX times this year. However, they are 4-2 in those games. The first matchup this year, Henry had 18 carries and rumbles for 169 yards. Insane, no doubt. But the rarely give Henry 25 carries and we can sell out to stop him and let Lamar try and beat us from the pocket. Quote

Green Bay got wrecked by injuries yesterday and the Steelers would be trying to complete the sweep of the Ravens. As others have explained, the Ravens game is irrelevant to tiebreaker scenarios between the Pats and Bills. It's more important to keep the Ravens out. Quote

I hear that, but I’ve seen too many “run for the bus” season finales by teams that were out of it and with Miami having to go play in the cold, I can see where they might lose interest early. Quote
