dave mcbride Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I ask because Coleman was his usual self these days: no significant plays made plus a mistake (rescued by a borderline PI call). Was Davis sick? I know the flu has been going around in a serious way, and maybe he got it? Otherwise, I don't see how he could be benched instead of Coleman. He's not great, but he gives the team more than Keon does at this point. 3 2 Quote
JP51 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago (edited) I have no idea nor have I heard anything about the rationalization... I assume that McDermott felt that Coleman, Cooks. Shavers and Palmer we all better options.. unless there is an injury I am not hearing about.... truth be told I would take Gabe over Coleman at this point... I am about done with 0 . Dillenger4 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Two things I "think" but obviously don't know: 1) Gabe may have had the Flu. Did anyone see Josh puking on the sideline twice during the game?? 2) Is Gabe signed to the roster now? Isn't there a three game call up rule? He's had 2 so far... Quote

Seems Cooks might be injured so he'll likely be back. It matters in the sense of getting the flu without a vaccine can lay one pretty low. It's spreading like wildfire among folks I know right now. 2 minutes ago, Dillenger4 said: Two things I "think" but obviously don't know: 1) Gabe may have had the Flu. Yeah, Josh puking raised my eyebrow on this issue. Davis is also on the roster and has played in four games. Edited 4 hours ago by dave mcbride 1 1 1 Quote

stlbills13 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Coleman made a nice downfield block so unfortunately he probably got more games. I would rather see Gabe out there 10 out of 10 times over Keon 1 Quote

Signed to the roster a few weeks ago, Samuel to IR in the corresponding move. Really have zero clue why Davis would sit for Coleman. Davis is a better 3rd/4th receiver over Coleman. 1 Quote

TheBeaneBandit Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Could be he was rehabbing that injury for so long that they felt he needed rest to not overdo it. Kinda doesn't completely have his legs under him so to speak. 1 Quote

brianthomas Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago wish we just would've kept Hollins. But from everything i've seen, Davis was sat because Palmer came back. Simple as that from what i've seen 1 Quote

Davis isn’t a number one, or two, but is a serviceable 3 or 4….most likely a 4 if we have a healthy WR room. Davis isn’t great, but Coleman is a bust. 1 Quote

Allen also trusts Gabe Davis especially in the scramble drill which is becoming more and more a regular part of the offense lately. Just zero reason to dress Coleman over Gabe Cooks had to get x-rays last night after the game so we may see both active this coming week. But Gabe shouldn't sit again this season 3 Quote
MikePJ76 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago the team said yesterday before the game he was a healthy scratch Quote
