Anybody who's not a Bills homer can see the issues and flaws he's talking about. Nothing shocking here

But at the end of the day we have 17 so we always have a fighters chance in any game

Just listened to Greg Cossell in the Colin Cowherd show. He was asked about what he thought about the Bills. I think this guy really knows his football.

Here's what he basically said. Not a great listen as a Bills fan. They aren't one of the most talented teams in the league, they aren't that good overall from a talent perspective, they lack  play makers on both sides of the ball, very poor WR core and Kalir is more of a WR3, , have to scheme up offense, and rely on Josh being Superman which is hard to be sustainable and win like that.

I know it's just one guys opinion but this guy really knows his football. Doesn't mean the Bills can't win it all. Nevertheless, this was pretty eye opening and deflating. What do you think?

All the “experts” are picking the Pats on Sunday. Perfect.  This team is at its best when it’s got its back to the wall and people are questioning them…

So now do we go after his grandpa Howard?                                                                                                        🤭

Hey, don’t monkey with Howard!

Who cares what Greg Cosell thinks? He's a journalist. Never played football in his life. He's no more an expert than any other fan like you or I.

Thanks for sharing although as others have pointed out, most of us probably agree.

I stopped listening to WGR so I don't hear him much anymore, but I remember him on One Bills Live just after the 2024 draft. Regarding Coleman, the Bills were talking about how he'd be great on contested catches. Cosell made a comment (I'm sure I don't remember the numbers correctly, but you'll get the idea) that a 40% success rate on contested catches is excellent but a 70% success rate when the catch isn't contested is pretty bad. Therefore, taking Coleman over someone who has shown the ability to separate was a bad move. Excellent point that I hadn't thought of in quite that way before.

Just stating what anyone with their eyes open can see - we are an average team talent wise at best.  Josh masks a lot of deficiencies with the roster, until the playoffs.  With a few more bounces going our way we could get to a super bowl this year.

I hope Beane is gone after this year.

Greg is muh buddy. We had a sleepover at his crib last weekend, had a pillow fight (I won) and watched Clueless, ya dig?

I don't think there's any proof of this narrative.

I agree 100% with Greg.  The man knows football, and speaks the truth

Just wasn't what I wanted to hear. Feels like a gut punch as a Bills fan.

He is basically saying what we already know. He is not wrong. On offense its Allen and Cook. If the opposing team stops Cook, then Allen has to go into Superman mode to win the game. We can't count on the defense to win us games.

All true, but I would lean back on who really stands that clearly above us in the AFC? The worst we will get is a 50/50 game. This isn't close to the best iteration of this team. But the competitive landscape is just different this year.

Good point.

He is probably the objective analyst out there.

It's all going to come down to this question in the playoffs:

Will the coaching by and large just stay out of Allen's way and let him do his thing, or are they going to do that thing where they overthink every decision and become obsessed with trying to control every outcome of the game?

I've felt for awhile that Allen has to win by overcoming his own coaching staff. Sonic think we are on the same page.

I tried to block up the guy just won't go away

Surprised you would block him. This is one of the few football guru's I respect.

Sorry about that. My fault. Feel free to edit a proper title.

My question is will Mcdermott's butt pucker up like has in the playoffs, or will he just coach like he normally does.  He just gets too tight and you can see it in his face and his decisions.

I mean, it's what many of us have been saying all season and it has bitten the team in a few games this season.

The margins are so thin in the NFL. If a 4th down deflection doesn't bounce right to Coleman for a TD in week 1 and if Burrow doesn't toss a softball right to a blitzing DB we're likely 7-6 with a hill to climb to make it into the playoffs.

But instead we're 9-4 and in a commanding position to make it in and make a run, whereas both of those other teams are in deep trouble.

The question is whether any QB, even Allen, can put on a cape and will a team to a SB. If anyone can it's Allen.

I'm convinced this is the year. The AFC playoff picture is a joke and we have #17.
