And don't forget the hype about Mac Jones. "Experts" were saying Allen was the second best quarterback in the division after Jones' second year.

Every single season a couple QBs have a really good year, and suddenly they are better than Josh Allen.

Right now it's Drake Maye.  Last year, it was Jayden Daniels and Jared Goff.  The year before, it was CJ Stroud, Jalen Hurts and Tua Tagovailoa.  Before that it was Justin Herbert, Mac Jones, etc., etc.  Anymore I just don't listen to the noise.  Let them have their one-year wonders.  No need to get in an argument, because the consistency wins out over time.

Since 2020, Allen has been a Top 3 QB statistically every single year.  He's been a strong MVP candidate every single year.  Even the guys who are legitimately in an elite tier (Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow and yes Patrick Mahomes) have been unable to stay on that kind of level.

The Bills face 2 teams the above .500 today and lost. Facts, but spin and twist all you want.

C'mon man. You can't expect to win an argument with facts.

No Milton Williams, and possibly neither starting LB (Landry and Spillane, and a healthy Spencer Brown, and Jackson Hawes- James is going to Cook with Gas Sunday!  Must start FF- James Cook

I posted upthread that I thought a lot of it comes down to field condition.  Just checked Foxboro on NWS now that we're about 40 hours out:

Saturday Night

Snow likely, mainly after 3am. Cloudy, with a low around 25. Southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Sunday

Snow likely, mainly before 9am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 30. Northwest wind 5 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

So as I read it, the snow is going to peter out several hours before game time.  Hope the grounds crew is diligent in clearing it.  If the field is in good shape, and Brown is playing at RT, they'll test the outside run game.

I would love to see Allen with a hall of fame offensive coordinator like McDaniels. Maye might be great, or even a hall of famer, Josh Allen is just another level above that.

There's no such thing as a Hall of Fame coordinator

The NFL and  the Hall of Fame place a massive emphasis on if you can't get it done as a coordinator and a head coach you're not a HoF guy

So Josh McDaniels is a really good coordinator he's not anything close to a Hall of Fame Coach according to the history of the league

If you can't parlay you're great career as a coordinator to a great head coaching job you're not considered upper echelon

Pretty sure they said Landry will play today

I heard that as well on the radio. The guy who covers the Pats said the team is very healthy.

Sure, if you want to be a pedant. Dick Lebeau? Spagnuolo? Kiffen? He’s in that category.

To me this game might be one of the career defining ones for McD. He has had few incredible victories in his tenure here. Beating Dallas on Thanksgiving, crushing Belichick in the playoffs for ex but he has also had some statement losses where the team didnt look prepared, motivated or show up like Cincy in the playoffs or where he had serious brain cramps like Houston last year or the 13 seconds debacle. I think this game represents a chance at restoring the rightful balance in the division but more importantly show the league that McD can come up with a game plan to confuse and neutralize Maye. I was hoping he could do this last week vs  the Bengals but it once again took until halftime for us to get our act together. We cannot afford to do that against Maye again. Maybe this time smother Diggs in coverage and dont let Maye escape the pocket (at least to his right). Here's hoping.

I remember when Pats games used to feel like a dentist's appointment. Something you couldn't avoid & just had to get through.

I have none of that for Sunday.  They're pretenders, we're the real thing.  Unless we give the game away - which I acknowledge is always a small possibility - this won't be that close.  They're not a primetime team yet.

I feel the same way, bro. Anything could happen, but I’m pretty confident about Sunday.

Go Bills!

Ahh I don't know about preeminent NFL message aboard, but whatever floats your boat.

That's great that you and a hand full of others don't. Clearly I am not talking about the ones that don't. As I stated, the fans that can't understand what normal fan behavior is, when your fellow Fandom does the same thing. Fans are the same no matter where you are. Clearly some people can not bring themselves to see that.

Not Pats* fans. You guys are the biggest bandwagon fans in the history of sports. You were literally the Hartford Patriots because your fan support was so pathetic prior to Brady. The last 5 years there’s been ZERO talk of the Pats* in New England. Where have you been the past 5 years? Oh that’s right, rooting for the Bruins. Now you are winning again and surprise! All of a sudden everyone is a Pats* fan again. Pathetic. Come talk to us when you pack Foxboro after even 10 years of not making the playoffs. Your fan base isn’t in the same galaxy as the Bills or the rest of the NFL

I think Maye is going to annoy us with his accuracy again but like last week the Bills D will get off the field a few times and the O will be efficient. They won’t be as mistake prone as the first time around. I like the Bills this week, something like 29-24

I mean. They have championships.  The Bills don’t.   So I don’t see why you’re so upset.

That’s the whole point. Pats* fans disappear when their team isn’t winning championships then pop back up when they are winning. That’s the definition of a bandwagon fan base.

I told several Pats "fans" that it is a big game for the Patriots this weekend. They were confused by this coming from a Bills fan.

So if the Patriots lose will you be back to gobble up that crow? I know it'll be hard with Maye's kids in your mouth....

But as far as trolls go you're about the worst at being the worst. You're not a cold sore or a rash. You're like that speck of dandruff on a white shirt that most people don't notice and life goes on.

Dick LeBeau absolutely should be in the HOF.

Wradio station in Boston was making jokes about the team to the point where former players would not go on or call in and join the jokes. Laughing about the coach that was there last year ... And just like New England fans... Everyone forgot about him too.
