This is going to be one of these classic Bills home games, some snowfall, D is going to be aggressive and nasty… and by 4:15pm many are going to say to themselves “why was i worried about this game”?!?!

Life’s funny.    I wrote my kids about Pearl Harbor day about an hour ago.   I included this:

I hope the bills come out physical and mixing it up after the whistle right from the start.  The bengals are arrogant and think they are the bullies for some reason every week.  Buffalo has to be physical from the first snap. 
 

I want to play defense first.  

 

They also have Higgins back this week too right?

yes higgins is back and iosivas is very good too but I think the easiest matchup is going to be to gesicki and just handing it off and letting brown run straight ahead.

 

if the bills smother the run today at some point you would think burrow will make a mistake or get a tipped ball or something.

Today is a huge day for this defense. There are two teams that have made us look bad in the Josh Allen era. Two last dragons left to slay here. This is most likely the year we finally outlast KC. Now go and end the Bengals season. Our defense played excellent for the last 6 quarters. The most significant event of our 2025 season probably happened in the second half of the Texans game. If we can stop Cincinnatis offense with all their weapons, the sky is the limit. This is a great test and it will tell us all we need to know about our Super Bowl chances. The year we make real stops, is the year we win it all. Shaq Thompson has completely transformed this unit. Keep it rolling with Cook, play good defense and don’t turn it over. Our auto pilot is good enough to win the whole thing. Don’t beat ourselves, first guy to the ball has to make the tackle , block and Let’s go get one today.

I wonder if we can try to use Fox the way we used Hoecht. I’m sure it’s not a direct transfer skill set but they are pretty similar. If Fox can be close to what 55 was in that brief window, we might have another gear for this defense.

Whatever happens in this one, the Bills equipment staff better have our guys in the right cleats. Don’t want to see the Bengals with that edge again on our home field.
