I think so. They could win in the playoffs too. I just don’t think that they can win 4 in a row. They’re way too flawed and inconsistent.

Anything can happen once you get in.  Let's hope they go through December on fire and take some momentum into the playoffs

I'm going no.

The next 5 games are all ones that will be tough to win. Then behind us, you have the Texans who now own the head to head tie breaker, a surging Baltimore team and a Chief team that can hit a hot streak anytime.

I think when the music stops, there's a shot we could be left without a chair.

Baltimore is not “surging”.

They literally played the exact same offensive game, probably worse given Lamar threw a pick six, against Cleveland as we did Houston.

Difference is their Defense held Cleveland to 9 points.  And as bad as our Defense can be.. I actually think they’d have done the same to Shadeur Sanders in that game.

We view Baltimore differently because of what they are perceived to be and the fact their division is trash.

I think they’ll make the Playoffs, but they aren’t exactly playing great right now.   Maybe that changes if Lamar can get healthy.  Or maybe he reinjures himself.

They are 5-5 and have Jets, Bengals, Steelers, Bengals, Patriots, Packers, Steelers.

That Thanksgiving game against CIN will likely be Burrow playing with a ton of juice after beating NE or their last gasp to stay alive.

If they didn’t only have the Steelers to worry about, we wouldn’t view them as a shoe-in for the playoffs.

Remaining schedule is not exactly easy.  I only see one sure win (Jets) the others are all very losable, especially if Rodgers and Burrow are playing

At Pitt (50%)

Bengals (75%, 50 if Burrow plays)

At NE (40%)

at Cle (75%)

Philly (40%)

Jets (99%)

Well let's look at this.
Pitt-  LOSS. We play bad against teams with Bad QB okay (who knows who the QB will be here)

Bangles- LOSS. We play bad against them

NE- LOSS. We play bad against any team Diggs is on.
Cleveland-  Back to the bad QB thing again and then add that we play bad against good defenses.
Philly- LOSS- Great defense

Jets- LOSS- I'll blame this one on the alternate uniforms.

Optimistic take

2 out of 3 of us still billieve based on early polling.

How sad is it that we went from trying to predict how long we can go before we get our first loss to wondering if we'll even make the playoffs. What a disappointment of a season this turning out to be.

I was extremely hopeful at 4-0 - but the signs were really there, even at that point.  I realize now that I let my inner homer take over & was sure that even though we didn't look great, we were still winning and "figuring it out."

All we've figured out is that we're not very talented.  I'm not sure if we'll get another team like the one we got used to for about 5 years - where we were always top-tier and scary, even in bad stretches.  Like, this is a bad stretch - but we're not top tier, and we're not scary.  We're just another team now.

Hey, having a 2nd place schedule next year would be refreshing. And I still think they make the playoffs this season.

Just wait until KC has a 3rd place schedule next year. They will probably get the #1 seed.

Baltimore has won 4 games in a row. That is by definition a surge in wins for them. Tap dance around it all you want, they are getting healthier at the right time. With the schedule compared to ours, it's not unfathomable that they surge right past us.

Yes, this is silly

I would have agreed with you a few weeks ago

If we are being honest, it's not guaranteed so I think it's fair to ask what everyone thinks

I said I think they’ll win their Division, but they’re not playing well.   If anyone but Shadeur was QB for Cleveland, Baltimore loses that game.

If they had a 9-2 NE or DEN leading their division, we’d question them making the playoffs due to tiebreakers and a tough schedule with Steelers twice, Pats and Packers, along with whatever the Bengals can be.. at least in their first matchup.   That second matchup could be with Burrow shut back down for the season if they don’t go on a run.

If you told me Steelers would split with them and we were guaranteed a WC, I’d gladly drop next weeks Pittsburgh game to help them hold off Baltimore so I clearly don’t want them in.

I'm saying that they will just barely make it into the post season, but they won't last long.

D's win championships and we haven't reached that point in our 8 year process yet.

Cleveland with Gabriel or Sanders isn't an easy win?  Crazy talk

We win Cleveland and Jets for sure.  Pitt is a likely win if Rodgers is out and on a long week of rest.

That leaves the need to potentially win 1 of NE/Cinci/Philly to for sure make the playoffs.

We are all a bit upset, hurt and confused with our team.

AFC East champs is quite a long shot now.

We are 3-4 on our last 7.

The playoffs are not guaranteed if we keep playing inconsistent and going win-loss-win-loss

So public poll, do we make the playoffs or end up on the outside looking in

The Bills still have an 84% chance of making them even with the loss. They even had the graphic up during the game. I don’t think they’ll go very far, but they most definitely are getting in.

We'll really have to see where we stand injury wise next week. The 10 days is coming at a very good time.

It really doesn't seem like most of the injuries are long-term.  Some of the predictions on here are pretty gloomy and seem more based on day-after pessimism than on reality.  We could collapse, for sure - but we haven't yet in the Allen era, and I don't think we will this year.

We're consistently a good December team.  I just expect that to continue. I think we're beating Pitt, NE, Cleveland and NY, and probably the Bengals.

If I'm wrong and we drop another 3 or 4, this is a genuinely bad team and we are in major trouble.
