Allen was drastically beaten up and had Palmer but not the physical capability to get it there at that point.

True... but of all our WRs... Palmer is likely the best route runner with decent ability to separate. 

 

There have been a lot of instances this season in which Palmer has been open, but Allen isn't looking his way and/or just doesn't throw to him.

 

Not sure if it's the lack of chemistry and reps playing together or what.  Allen definitely seems like the type of QB that needs time to build trust and chemistry with his receivers.  I think Shakir is a good example of that.  Diggs hit the ground running and the connection with Allen was there from Day 1, but I remember hearing about how Diggs was always talking to Allen during his first off-season with the Bills and working extra hard to develop chemistry, so that obviously helps.

I believe Palmer is more talented than people give him credit for. And, for what it's worth, even though he's never been a "star" receiver, he was still more productive with the Chargers than Bills.

Missed extra point forced us to have to go TD. Could have easily kicked a tying field goal for OT. Not saying they would have won but that one point was costly. But in the long run, it should have never come down to that.

Marginally? Compared to the last two years he’s same YPC and halfway to his production.

Is that the same play that Knox was open because of Davis OPI?  Just checking.   Pass rush makes it hard for any QB to execute, they sped up his clock all night.   They got beat in the trenches and lost the turnover battle 0-2.  Not because Knox was open on a play that would have been called back.

Agreed you take away Allen and this is bottom 3 team in the NFL. I thought they should have tried to run Cook or even Davis on the previous 3 & 1 to secure the first down and then just take shots to the end zone

 

The reality is Knox is a perfect example of Beane overpaying for a fringe talent player,  he is not someone who you can count on to make a big play in crunch time because he does to offer any elite talent skills

That was an easy call that any ref crew would have made it was a terrible run pick play. I think the Bills are lucky Allen didn’t get hurt as often as he was hit.. I will say on a couple (like the 2nd sack) he has to throw the ball away at some point.

if the throw was completed to Knox and he gets the first down the Texans accept the penalty and the Bills get another down. Yes it would have been 4th and long but 4th and long is better than the end of the game.

True but they had almost the whole game to make that up. Had Brady not gone for the 3 yards back to get 1 yard run play on the best defense in the league we might have got a TD or FG on that drive. We blew at least two drives when we should have scored and were starting to get rolling and Brady got stupid.

Yes it would have counted (ie, been relevant). 
 

Texans would have to accept penalty, and Bills would have had another play.
