Stroud ruled out for Thursday

I honestly feel no better or worse facing Mills.  If we play undisciplined like we did against Pats, Falcons and Phins, we will lose - hell, maybe even get blown out.

I don't see Mills gashing us in the pass game...if they lose it will be because Marks and Chubb hurt us in the run game and we can't score enough points against their D.  I don't expect that to happen tho...we should be able to handle our business.

Mills QB has vastly improved from his starting years.  His first two years he had dreadful one year run Head Coaches, David Culley and had to deal with the Jack Easterby non-sense and Lovie Smith who was "3/4 retired"  Till he finally got fired.  Whatever he did a few years ago is, imo not indicative of the QB he is now, the man has learned a lot.

 

If we lose, it will be because the Texans are a tremendous defense with a powerful D Line and one great CB (Stingley) which could be left alone on an "island" with our "best" (not saying much) receiver.  I think having some faith in Hardman and his speed hardman Bills could flip that advantage a bit.  Texans will generate a serious pass rush on Allen.

Now as far Davis Mills, one would THINK he is inferior but he had a heroic comeback in Q4 versus the Jaguars (team that crushed the Chargers Sunday) and had a solid game versus the lowly titans, 2-0,  for the season versus CJ 3-5.

The QB won’t matter.  It’s strictly about not letting Chubb get 200 yards and 3 TDs, like the defense has been guilty of this year.  If the Texans run game goes off, it will be tough to win because points will be at a premium against that Texans defense. Didn’t Josh get pretty beat up last year against them?

Dont understimate the texans defense,

 

Scoring 24 or more is no easy task at all.  Only teams over 20 this years were the Jaguars with 29 (which Mills had his historic come from behind victory) and the Seawawks with 27.

You want the worse player. Mills is the worse player. Dalton is worse than Bryce Young. Next week Rudolph is worse than Rodgers. Flacco is worse than Burrow.

Just sell out to stop the run. It’s not rocket science. If you get beat by Davis Mills, you deserve to lose.

I dont need to go to the Texans message board, I live in Houston and see every game and hear about them  ad nauseam.   I saw the play of both the year and Mills has played better, imo.  Playing a player right out of concussion protocol  that has missed several weeks is a a real gamble.  Who knows what you will get, he might be hearing footsteps and seeing ghosts.  

 

100% of experts say Stroud is better, 100% huh, not going to debate your hyperbole.

I remember that playoff game against the Dolphins a few years ago when Tua didn't play. Some scrub named Skylar Thompson did and he put up some decent numbers against the Bills defense in the Bills 34-31 win. Watch Mills do the same this week.

100%. That’s not hyperbole. With the exception of you and a couple of other message board Chicken Littles, it’s 100%. There’s a reason they are trying to get Stroud back in the lineup. 🤣🤣 When he’s cleared he’s not going to sit behind Davis Mills. 🤣🤣

And Stroud this year has not been effective to the point where you celebrate that his backup is playing. And said backup is not bad. He can make plays.

Hardman is likely not playing on a short week after injuring a calf in the game Sunday.

That is too bad.  So did he actually have a calf injury or was it some sore of "disciplinary reaction" to his fumble.  I was uncertain.  Speaking of disciplinary action, not that is really matter much at this point but did Coleman actually miss a meeting or was that just an excuse.

I don’t consider the Chicken Littles on this message board as experts. 100% “of experts” is the number. If Mills goes out there this week and throws for 350 yards and 4 TDs, Stroud plays the next game. We have officially gone crazy on TBD.
