Fan in Chicago Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Someone tell the Raiders it's okay to tackle. Boy this is boring to watch. The only thing keeping me watching is the occasional shots of Dallas' cheerleaders 2 Quote

Their defense is pretty interesting now. They traded for Logan Wilson and tonight's the long-awaited return of LB DeMarion Overshown who was looking like a star before his catastrophic knee injury last year. 9 minutes ago, stuvian said: Pete Carroll really salvaged his career Pete salvaged Geno's career but possibly at the expense of his own. As the years pass from that Seattle Super Bowl team, the person who's maintained his reputation is GM John Schneider. Meanwhile Carroll and Russ have been tarnishing their legacies. 2 Quote

They did have like nearly a decade of bad personnel decisions after that Super Bowl. 2 Quote

I know he has a Super Bowl on his resume but he hand picked Geno, traded a relatively high pick for him and it’s not even averagely reasonable play they’ve received. 1 Quote

He was a stability hire to basically reset the organization. They have been a joke since Gruden. I’m sure they expected better play but this isn’t about this year or next year. It’s about becoming serious, even if they are bad and serious. Quote

On the same day (March 13th) that Sam Darnold signed a free agent contract with Seattle for 3 years and $100 million, the Raiders and Carroll traded the 92nd pick overall for Geno Smith and signed him to a 2 years, $75 million contract. Now I know the jury's still out on Darnold, there are times over the last two years where he's looked elite and he would have cost the Raiders less than Geno did.
