Have you noticed the awesome success Belichick is having at UNC?

What’s your point?  He failed, and then succeeded.  Seems like a strange issue to contest.

Everyone saying to bring daboll back, seems to have a short memory. Ps I'm not opposed it, but daboll was infuriating as oc at times. Think back to the pats/bills wind game from 22 (I think). Daboll had some terrible games with the bills, however, I don't think it's a terrible idea. At this point, as McDermott said recently, need to turn every stone

My point is Billy is more hype than substance these days, with a weird girlfriend.

As much as i dont want Belichick, the Bills and NOT the UNC of the NFL. More like if Bill took over Alabama or UGA.

first to say the Bills should hire him as OC

(not going to happen)

OC? Should get him in as the HC. A lot of growing pains will be eliminated. Josh knows his system inside and out. Maybe he could possibly swing for Nabers to come here.

More hype than substance because he isn't instantly winning with a crappy college roster compared to winning with an elite NFL QB?  Come on man, you are better than that.  Judging him off his first season at a rebuilding college program that isn't a football powerhouse to begin with is pretty silly.

Okay, whatever. He's a genius.

As a consultant IMO would be a really great addition for the offense and Josh especially

Daboll is going to have plenty of suitors, no idea why anyone would think he is going to come back to work here when neither him or McD has any interest to work together.

Depend on what he wants to keep getting involved this season, like Saleh was. Bills could be a stepping stone like how he got the Giants HC job in the first place, after all we do have Allen and the chance of Allen to play some good/MVP type football down the stretch is high, with or without Daboll. But you look good being on the staff, having a hand in it.

True, but when he doesn't have a Josh Allen to bail him out, he'll be gone in 20 minutes.

As much as I want McD gone, this just isnt true.

He's very good at lifting a bottom team into being competitive and winning and finding a playoff spot again. He would be a great hire for Vegas, Carolina, Giants, Arizona, etc.

It's the next level where he struggles. The leap from Playoff Caliber to Championship Caliber.

I would not object to him being added to the staff, but in terms of the fire Brady and hire him chants going on - it honestly feels a bit like the old adage "The backup QB is the most popular guy on the team" stuff here.  I mean when Daboll was last here, there was a "Fire Daboll" thread as often as there was a "Fire Dorsey" thread and now a "Fire Brady" thread...which is pretty much after every loss where the offense wasn't good.

The real elephant in the room is this though:  They didn't part on good terms (McD and Daboll).  Would they really be interested in working together now?  Only if they have since worked their differences out behind the scenes as it never came out in public if they did.

My personal opinion is there is almost no chance they fire Brady in season unless the offense goes on like a huge skid for several weeks in a row.  When they fired Dorsey, the offense averaged like 19 PPG in his final 6 games or something like that, and against all bad teams.  Bills just trounced their previous opponents to the Fins game, including the SB favorites at the time in the Chiefs where Allen was sensational.

So for Daboll to come here, he would have to be content with working both under McD again and not as the OC and under Brady.  Nothing is impossible, but just feels unlikely given the cold chill that has previously been between McD and Daboll where they don't even want to acknowledge each other after games against each other.

"is not under any type of consideration"... maybe not by you, Sean, but Terry knows him, did not look thrilled yesterday, and has demonstrated an affinity for Buffalo retreads in his minor league hockey venture.
