Not denying that Shavers and Gabe are better the Coleman but Brady took an entirely different approach to the offense today. Hope he keeps it up.

We saw a few quarters of “Daboll Josh”

I like Daboll Josh.

the lack of run game forced Brady’s hand, and Shavers stepped up.  Davis was a good security blanket too.

First time in a while it was nice to see guys wide open. Cook in the flat, on the wheel, shavers on the come back, gabe on the digg etc.

Whatever the reason the offense just got better and better throughout the game, which was good because the defense got worse and worse.

First off, we were playing 10 on 11. But it was worse because it was a wasted progression in Josh's process. You could tell he also didnt trust him.

So yes, it was addition by subtraction. But the mixup brought some fire and excitement not only to WRs today, but Josh.

Palmer was helpful, more so in having to account for him, at least today. I still have hopes.

Gabe wasn't flashy today, but effective and out of 3 grabs, 2 were at very clutch times. I dont think Shavers is all the sudden awesome, his day just goes to show you how dysfunctional the system was.

Loved seeing Ty Johnson go the f*** off today. Incredibly confusing why he hasnt been used or effective this year. Same with Cook in passing game.

They have called plenty of deep shots. Josh hasn't thrown them. He did today partly because that Buccs secondary is trash.

Yeah and they’re still not good on them. Unless it’s scramble mode any deep fade, post or corner seems like a waste

Hes not blameless, not even close. But I think hes been very limited as a result of injuries and Keon.

Baffling it took this long to change him out.

Also were not out of the woods. Teams will adjust. Still very worried about the strength of that room and Bradys game plans, but huge step in right direction!

They aren’t going to fire Beane and keep McDermott.  Both are a package deal.

brady is gone though

How to keep McDermott when we have a defense that has been bad for awhile now is bad. He isn't winning games, Josh is. If we had to live with our back up we would be ridiculously bad.

Also hope Moore gets a chance over Samuel in a game plan like this one.

Allen's manic play is as large a part of our manic wins and losses as anything else.  We turn the ball over multiple times and games are much harder than they need to be.  Defense failed at a lot of things but they did get a couple turnovers and they may well have been the difference in the game even with Allen's 6 TDs.

Unless you are the Bengals, 6TDs should be an all but guaranteed win.  And in all honesty, I think their D is the same as ours right now and I know they have better offensive weapons.

When your defense is already down giving the other team the ball 3 or 4 times makes for games where you need 6 TD's.  Look at our losses and tell me turnovers don't matter.

Really he had no choice....we'll see what happens as the season progresses.

He still calls that ***** stupid screen to Shakir! How does Brady not realize that doesn’t work and that teams are onto that idiotic play?  Shakir had -3 yards receiving today.  Nice, creative play design Brady.  Let’s run it multiple times every game

Three turnovers and we won by 12 against a good team. I don't know what to feel.

And their offense was down their top 2 receivers.  And they gave us the ball twice.

The one on that final drive was definitely a check from Josh. While he isn't just checking into random plays and they have that WR screen as a built in check when Josh reads a team crashing the middle I am not sure he is getting all those checks right. And that was a bad check.

My apologies if this been posted here previously.

Greg Cosell discusses the reasons he sees watching the tape why Buffalo’s pass game has issues starting around the at the 8min 15sec mark.

Partial summary..l

“I think the concepts, for NFL standards, are somewhat elementary.

I don’t think they do a lot of things, in terms of their concepts and their route combinations.

And I think that, when you combine that with the fact that Josh Allen, at times, and he’s always been like this, he will leave the pocket prematurely, and not neccessarily trust the process, and deliver the ball within structure uh, that is presented, however basic it is, then you get a combination that just makes it difficult for a pass game to have consistency.”

He goes on to discuss that you still can do a lot of things tactically, even without great receivers with rooute concepts and combinations…

Thanks for posting.  I watched this video and agree with Cosell wholeheartedly.  There's no question that we don't have an elite WR corps.  But Brady hasn't done a good job playing the hand he was dealt.  The run game is fine, but the downfield passing game is clearly suboptimal.
