Mark Sanchez Released from Fox -> Drew Brees is the new Replacement

After the alleged attack last month, Fox has let go of Mark Sanchez. We all pretty much knew Fox would make that move. It was more a question of when. 

"We can confirm that Mark Sanchez is no longer with the network. There will be no further comment at this time," a Fox Sports spokesperson said Friday.

 

But Drew Brees has been hired to be his replacement alongside Adam Amin and Kristina Pink. "I appreciate the opportunity FOX has given me in the booth and with their team," Brees said in a statement. "I hope my passion for this game is reflected in the knowledge and insights I provide to the fans each Sunday."

 

His first appearance will be Week 11 with the assignment unknown at this time. 

 

"Prosecutors have charged Sanchez with a felony count of battery involving serious bodily injury, along with three misdemeanor charges, including public intoxication."

Sanchez will soon announce that he's going into therapy, he will then get hired by ESPN as all is always forgiven when you go into therapy. Sex addiction is a popular one now. Lots of famous people have sex addiction. I just got told I had a filthy mind, but then again my sister in law is no shrink

That's just an amazing classic that will never be forgotten.  My sister-in-law hates it when I mention it.  She rolls her eyes and reminds me that the Jets have won a Superbowl.  Ugh.

That's always a favorite of mine. Jet fans that were yet to be alive when they won the Super Bowl. I'm a "If it didn't happen in your life you can't claim it" guy. Like hey, my grandfather shook Marylin Monroe's hand. So that means I did too.

What a strange episode. Something must be going on with Sanchez that caused him to boil over. Alcohol was a factor, but I am sure many of us on this board have a few from time to time and we don't feel the need to beat up people, let alone elderly folks.

I'm not disputing that Sanchez assaulted the man. Reports are that Sanchez body slammed him into a wall and then to the ground on a loading dock. I'm sure there were things on that dock that could have cut the man's face under the circumstances. The reports go on to say, fearing for his life, the man pepper sprayed Sanchez, and when he didn't relent he stabbed him multiple times. This would make Sanchez the stabbee. These are public accounts from the police report. There are no accounts in those reports that suggest Sanchez stabbed the man.

Everything that's been released just says the guy suffered an enormous cut or laceration on his face 

 

Sure I guess it's possible a dumpster can do that but cutting entirely through your cheek like that that kind of looks like a box cutter or something

Damn id seen a hospital pic but not that one. Certainly looks alot like Sanchez gave him a Chelsea grin with the knife.

 

If what's alleged is true, I hope Sanchez goes away for 15-20years, especially if he cut this dudes face like it looks. I mean how the hell else does this happen.

I'm sure that's something that the police don't need to tell to the public and that's something that will certainly go down at trial 

 

I mean I guess his face could have got cut on something Sharp but again that laceration is ridiculous
