Myers is a solid WR.  Something we don't have right now other than Shakir.  He is certainly worth a 3rd round pick.  And they can throw in Taron Johnson too.  

I don’t believe using a third round pick on Meyers despite Beane’s poor drafting. You will see in my history that I am one of the biggest Beane haters on this site. But I believe in good process. Giving up a third round pick for a WR who won’t alone fix our offensive woes and who is unlikely to get a large FA contract to offset our investment with a comp pick the following year is bad strategy. It is bad strategy that has gotten us to this desperation point two years in a row with WRs.

I think Myers has been kind of mailing it in because he knows he’s being traded. I think he even mentioned to the media something like “if I’m even still here”.

Meyers played about 70% outside in both 2023 and 2024. He has been more 50/50 this year.

Bottom 5 worst.  Pats WRs were garbage last year, but they have superior WRs this year than the Bills.

Some rando report has absolutely nothing to do with Beane. Once you realize or understand that, maybe it'll reduce your angry response emoji to just 1 instead of 3. Part 2 - Myers is not a slot WR although he has played that role. He has played high percentages outside as well.

Might be best to start with basics with this group of WRs.  Put Shakir, Jakobi, and Kincaid out in patterns, that's better that what we're doing rn.  Throw gabe davis on the edge to stretch the field

He's also been injured most of the season and Geno Smith's play has regressed a metric ton this season.

I would based on talent alone.  But that contract and his age would give me pause for sure.

BTJ is one of the worst receivers in the league this year based on some analytics and that hasn’t stopped anyone from wanting him haha  

 

not sure on that ‘slightly’ label being applied to the man separation chart at least. Keon and meyers are night and day different there.  This feels like people are falling for the ‘household name’ trap…Meyers would be an immediate sizeable upgrade but since he spent some ok years in NE it’s getting scoffed at for some reason 

 

idk how pressure rate is adjusted for in these charts…the raiders oline has been dreadful whenever I’ve seen them which would make coverage times shorter and separation harder

Meyers would move the needle more than Shaheed.

 

He's not a huge upgrade - but he's a "good enough" upgrade, imo.  He would demand some attention and make everyone else just a bit better.

 

If we got him & Gabe could regain some of his old form, we'd be in business.

NFL insider Jordan Schultz adds that the Raiders are looking for "at least a Day 2 pick"for Meyers "to even consider" trading him.

 

50.9% of Meyers career snaps have been from the slot position.  Sounds like Raiders are playing him outside a little more.  I’ve live in Massachusetts and have seen lots of Jacobi games.  Decent WR, great hands, not a deep threat.  Meyers threw the worst, stupidest, backwards lateral I’ve ever seen, gifted TD to D.  so I’m not sure how smart lol
