Think it's really as simple as the fact that the Jaguars WRs have been the worst in the NFL this season and yet they're in the thick of the playoff race with a ton of draft picks to use for acquisitions like this. Just trying to get Lawrence someone he can depend on.

The Bills showed on Sunday night that they can feature their TEs in the passing offense with some occasional WR involvement.  If Palmer comes back shortly I think we are ok for this season.  Would much rather have them look at DT help.

 

They could use solid depth at wr too so I think even a meyers level player moves the needle some.  I get what you’re saying though for sure 

 

I do think Moore is physically skilled and should improve some with more snaps but things are pretty grim should Palmer go down again lol

Meyers plays from the slot. That's what BTJ has been unable to do so far this year. Either they have decided to use BTJ pretty much outside as more of a role player, or they are moving him.

I always find it interesting the messaging that teams are filtering through reporters. "Unless blown away by an offer" is something you only put out there if you want a team to make you that offer. But what does blown away? One 1st round pick? Two?

If myers brings back a 4 and a 6 then shaheed should at the most expensive be a fourth round pick.  I imagine the steelers will be in on him also which might cause you to have throw in a 6 but we shall see.

Except they still have Lawrence at QB which means he is their limiting factor much like Tua was with the Fins.

I’m good on Meyers. Is he better than what we have? Maybe. But we need speed. Look what an infusion of speed has done for our defense. Speed is the way.

Yeah, I think it's probably one of those things where if someone offers multiple 1st round picks, they'll give it serious thought but short of that, no reason not to just hang onto him and continue trying to make the playoff push.

Given his contract situation a 4th is more reasonable but in this environment...?

in what world is Brian Thomas worth 2 first round picks when he’s shown he was barely worth the first round pick he was taken in.

He’s an interesting fit I know people want burner speed but someone capable that can get open in the intermediate areas would be an upgrade too.  Good run blocker also.  I’d be a little concerned with injury type stuff

Honestly I think I would if that’s the only choice. He would be what Samuel was supposed to be in the offense. He would fit in well with what they like to do spreading it around. Not my first choice I wouldn’t be unhappy with it depending on what we gave up. Would bring some edge to the offense too
