I remember earlier this year she was quoted from her own "Beau Society Newsletter " that she has an ongoing battle with anxiety.

As a newlywed, I remember the challenges that marriage put on both of us and the major adjustments we both had to make. Many highs and lows early on.

I remember early on in our marriage, being in the USAF and away from home often, a telephone was all we had at times for our relationship.

Not physically being there for my wife in times of crisis, or even the small moments that she needed me, weighed heavily on my mind.

I'm wondering how much the two newlyweds being separated during the week plays into both of their heads. Especially with Hailee's admitting battles with anxiety.  If she shares any of her flareups with Josh during the week, or god forbid, on game day, that's baggage that will definitely way on his mind.

Just curious if this is causing any type of distraction that is taking him off of his game.

Here's an excerpt from a recent article in The Times of India.

"Hailee Steinfeld, a talented actress and singer known for her roles in Bumblebee and Hawkeye, has always been open about her personal journey. Recently, in her Beau Society newsletter, Steinfeld addressed a deeply personal topic—her struggles with anxiety. Engaged to Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, Steinfeld shared her experiences with mental health and revealed how she manages moments of overwhelming stress.

In the 30th issue of Beau Society, Hailee Steinfeld answered fan questions, including one about her experience with anxiety. She admitted that, like many, she initially struggled to recognize and cope with anxious feelings.

"I let it eat me alive," Steinfeld said jokingly before getting serious. "This is a bigger conversation, but I think there's a lot around anxiety. I find I often say things like, 'My anxiety is through the roof.' I don't know when or where I started saying that, I just know I use it, a lot. At this point in my life, I have a better understanding of what anxiety is and what it feels like in my body."

Hailee Steinfeld explained that she sometimes confuses anxiety with emotions like stress and overwhelm. However, when she does experience real anxiety, she has developed a simple but effective method to manage it.

"I take a step away from whatever is making me feel that way, sit, and do nothing. There's a lot of pressure around doing something when you feel this way, but you can also do nothing. You can curl up with your favorite blanket and not talk to anyone for ten minutes. Take a gentle pause."

The Bills need a NUMBER ONE WIDE RECEIVER.

That will change everything.  It will make everyone better.

I’ve always heard a great QB can take an average receiver and make him into a good one, can make a good receiver into a great one and a great receiver an All-Pro/ Hall of Famer. A great receiver can also elevate a QB’s play, of course, and that’s where we are with Allen. We want a guy who can make it happen when Allen isn’t necessarily on his game. A guy who can make plays for his QB when all else isn’t great.

You must be single, right?

the article barely references anything of note

you then extrapolated it into total make believe

but sure, it’s possible in the sense that a lot of things could be possible

The “Hailee is hurting Josh’s game” stuff is weird.  Men and women get married, they evolve.

How many newlyweds do you know that are seperated immediately on and off for a long stretch of time?

Make believe Dr. Freud?

I made a plausible argument based on someone who has been married 41 years and has experienced those very issues.

Anxiety is an epidemic among this generation.  I have three kids between the ages of 27 and 22 and they all suffer from it on one form or another.  This is Steve Jobs' legacy.

Part of the problem is we have an extremely low margin for error offense. So every mistake is getting magnified tenfold. Like that one miss to Moore on I think a 1st down was awful, but QBs miss throws over the course of the game. When it's 1 bad miss out of 33 it's no big deal. When it's 1 bad miss out of 19 it kind of affects your entire perception of the performance.

Allen will be fine. We know he can play at an MVP level. The WR room on the other hand isn't magically going to start punching above its weight class. Instead of sitting on their hands waiting for Allen to go god mode, they need to fix the massive hole that exists on the roster. It's awesome that the run game and pass rush were able to take over today. That isn't going to happen every week and that's where you get games like Atlanta. The passing offense simply needs more options to keep itself on schedule. It's too haphazard on a play to play basis which is why Allen, the OL, and the pass catchers never look like they're getting in a consistent rhythm.

Don’t worry, I’m not here for your comfort. I’m here for the conversation.

Here’s the thing: The Times of India is mostly a rag. I sorta regret saying this, but I know of what I’m speaking of because I’m the politics publisher at Princeton University Press and used to have the same position at Oxford UP. In both places, I have published a LOT of books on contemporary India, and I can tell you that the Times of India makes the New York Post read like NPR. It, and most of Indian media, is super clickbait-y. As a consequence, I treat the source as mostly trash.

Not only is Cook a top-3 RB in the league but almost every player on the offense is a better contributor to a rushing attack than a passing one.  The OL are exceptional run blockers,  Jackson Hawes is a revelation in this capacity, even the WR group blocks better than it catches.
