How is this interconference game so chippy?

I'm guessing Aaron has something to do with that.

Parsons is so ***** good man, that was an insane sack.

He's flawed against the run in the eyes of most, but there's no question that he brings elite pass rush juice and can almost always find another gear when it's on the line. Not unlike TJ Watt, for example. Probably less physical, but that's splitting hairs.

I want Pittsburgh to lose. I want any team that is a threat to a potential wild card status for the bills to lose. If I’ve said that once. I’ve said that 1000 times.

It's how much do these guys take the coaching truly Simon

But football is such a fast sport..

There's an element of natural ability too, both physical and mental.

Having the physical capability to be that in control of your route and also the mental ability to make those decisions and adjustments in real time is unreal and something I think most folks don't appreciate.

There were several posts of thread that wanted Pittsburgh to win to make sure Baltimore didn’t have a chance. I was responding to that. Otherwise, yes, for most of you it was pretty damned obvious.😄

The only things that get me excited in football anymore are the little things

The nuances like that

If I see a young kid display high football IQ that's what gets me sold... Now think on the cornerback side the adjustments he has to make on the fly in a league tilted towards the offense

And then on the flip side of that at cornerback the subtle angles they're lining up in.. which is displaying their technique that they're going to be using on the route

You could be playing underneath inside leverage and people think you're getting cooked because your purposely playing underneath inside leverage in man...  but if you know cuz you've seen it 16 times it's going to be an inbreaking route so you play underneath it the ball's going to hit you faster than the wide receiver

It's a chess match built upon independent matchups that are continuously moving

Seems like the Packers have a guy wide open to make the catch every play

Night night.

That’s what a great offensive play caller does. Honestly think Lafleur is the best offensive mind in the league. WRs always wide open and makes Love actually look like a competent QB

Little habits and tweaks you introduce in private practice, in the offseason, then in the Spring and Summer, dozens and hundreds of times, which might at first make it HARDER to come down with the ball, but over time will win you a slight advantage on each contested ball overall, at least those where DBs are clocking your eyes and hands in anticipation of an approaching pass.

Imagine how much of this hand-fight tinkering goes on for offensive linemen, for example. Throwing feints or holding back all together; It's like fencing, or boxing, or even hockey faceoffs. So many individual engagements in large part determined by eyes and hands (and of course feet).

Lafleur, Shanahan, Reid, Johnson, McVay - these guys are just a class above the rest
