Maybe he just needs a change of scenery

Seriously this guy is the anti-poon of WR’s.  Go ask JSN what he thinks about him.  I have no doubt he and the combo of fake Football Jesus Lawerence are why he’s regressed.  He may or may not equal what he did as a rookie ever again, but I know Waldron is not the guy I would ever judge a WR on.

No I'm acting like he's worth a first lol

You're acting like he's not

Yeah I said I'm not giving up a first round pick for a guy who has under a 50% success rate right now who looks like he's afraid of catching the ball and getting hit

Correct

He does not look like the same guy from last year if you can't admit that you have goggles on.. he's not looking the same

I would throw a second round flyer since we need some outside help...  and that's cuz we need it.. no teams are going to come out swing with a first round pick with a guy who looks like doesn't want to get hit

Let's come back to this in 5 years and see how your boys career is doing

If he's got 7,000 yards you're absolutely correct

If he never went for 1200 yards again well...

You're acting like he's Jerry Rice

Let's not forget that the majority of this board wanted to draft Josh Rosen and were willing to get to the #2 or #3 pick by giving up the farm to get him.

The kid might be a major head case or suffering from a prolonged injury...who knows? The red flags go up when a team wants to bail on a 23rd pick in the draft from a year earlier.

In any event, a first-round pick looks like way too high a price considering that Beane loves his draft picks.

If you're giving up on your first round pick after one season those are red flags my friend

I'm scared they're trying to fleece another team because they know something's up.. truly

We can agree to disagree I get it you've always liked Brian Thomas Jr

There's plenty of great talents that did nothing in the NFL including Sammy Watkins who had much more talent than most of the league and did nothing

Please don't remind me of the many, many players that the Bills could have drafted instead of that glass decoy. Mike Evans was right there, and after the draft, the team stated that they still needed a big, tall end zone threat.

It could also be a miss match. What's the difference between how he was being used last year, compares to this year?

Joe Brady doesn’t exactly have a great record with top receivers either…  The last half of 2023 with Stefon Diggs, 2024 with Amari Cooper and whatever we have this year.

No, but we have Allen.

Not if he keeps alligator arming footballs which he needs to correct or he's not even going to have a 10-year career

Terrific talent he now has mental hurdles he has to overcome which is easier said than done

The mental part is always tough to judge. I don't follow college football - does he have a history of being disinterested? My guess is that if he did, he would not have gone in the mid first round.

As you noted, the talent is undeniable and he has proven he can play at the NFL level. I am sure the correct suitors for the trade are looking into what caused him to regress this year. If the proverbial change of scenery is all he needs, then this is the perfect time to buy (low).

Not going to happen but Coleman and a 3rd seems like fair compensation if they are willing to part with him.  We each get rid of a problem child.

Coleman is not a problem child. He just hasn't consistently produced. But, I wouldn't give up on him just yet.

If we could only be so lucky.  Keon and a 2nd works for me.

I love Keon and I think he has a future in this league in the right system with the right QB.  I don’t think the Keon + Allen + Brady equation is a match.  And with Shakir and Kincaid taking the snaps in the slot, Keon is the odd man out.

KC sent high picks for various failed wrs from other teams and traded their best for a 1st (and more) and he had a like 1600 yard season for the fish.

It's fine, losing what should be a 3handle pick is not so much to lose to get a high quality talent with problems on a cheap contract.  We have our wr dollars in shakir, Samuel, and Palmer (that's like 30mm a year) and they barely produce (heck, two of them are hurt).

Sometimes these guys need a change of scenery and I'm sure getting targets from Josh in the playoffs will excite whatever love this kid still has for football.

I just read mad max will be playing, along w the roid champions.  If Milano and Bernard can get health, along w dq, that's a ton less holes on the d.  Throw in this kid on o and kinkaide back, and all of a sudden the talent level of this team is HUGELY improved over what we had vs ATL.

As someone who looks and weighs all angles of everything, positive or negative, to any move - these are fair concerns.

But one thing I think you have to keep in mind is the INSANE move they made for Travis Hunter this year.

It would not in the least surprise me that they did that move knowing that they could recoup some of those assets from moving BTJ.

How would we feel if the Pats or Chiefs traded for him?

I’d be sick.  If he got traded anywhere but Buffalo for less than a 1st rd pick, it would be a failure for Beane (and us).  Hell, I think it would be a failure if it was for a 1st and we didn’t make it happen.  That draft pick does nothing for us in 2025 and this is a season that we should be capitalizing on injuries across the league.
