D. L. Hot-Flamethrower Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago You should checkout Joes' podcast it always a great listen and very informative. 9 points in concise fashion 1. Get back to mismatches as our big people are our strength on offense. 11-12-22 formations etc. and throw from it more as well. 2. Use Keon Coleman less, he has the most snaps and targets of any receiver. 3. Use Kincaid and Palmer more. 4. Use the Backs more in the pass game (doesn't understand where this went to). 5. Get Larry O and Hoecht up to speed and reduce the DL snaps by rookies and practice squad guys. Easy one. 6. Shaq Thompson is our best LB and needs to be treated as such. Try Bernard some at WLB. 7. Get Hairston going soon. Mentions ramping up and platooning and having ready by late season and playoffs. 8. Replace Taylor Rapp with Poyer. Not optimal, but addition by subtraction. 9. Workout a trade for WR who can stretch and cause some fear, mentions Olave and Shaheed (PR too). Many of us have mentioned some of these. The Coleman thing and being treated as if the #1 is shocking to me. We have stopped using the backs receiving as much as last year and its inexplicable. The reinforcements are self explanatory, but the safety question is bleak. All in all, there is hope, if they make some of the correct moves and don't be stubborn. 4 3 1 Quote

Why do we put up with this? It’s easily doable. And quite obvious, TBD has discussed all these suggestions, obvious to everyone but Joe Brady. Keon has the most targets. In what universe does that make sense? Throw to Dalton and Palmer more. DUH! Replace Rapp with Poyer. No brainer. Rapp is the worst player on the field. He’s gun shy and avoids big hits. You know Poyer is gonna hit! Get Hairston going soon. Ya think? If course we want our 1st round back. Of course we want to replace Tre. Of course we need speed in our defense. throw to RBs-throw the ball to James Cook in open space- again, obvious, obvious, obvious 12 and 13 personal-that’s how Bills have and can push line of scrimmage forward. All OL great run blockers, not all great pass protection Joe speaks the truth. Please forward to Joe Brady 2 Quote
Walking Tall Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Get the ball in space to Cook. That’s is as good as any trade to bring someone in. Figure it out, Brady. Scheme Cook open. 5 1 1 Quote

Why do we put up with this? These types of comments are so strange to me. What are you supposed to do? Storm the stadium? Start your own football league? The only recourse fans have is to have discussions like this about what could make them better. Like it or not, but this is where the Bills are at presently. There's not much a fan can do other than not watch (the old "voting with your wallet" trope). Considering this is still much better than the 17 years of slop they threw out there previously I'm inclined to continue watching, but you do you. Edited 1 hour ago by Bruffalo 1 2 Quote

I wouldn't really say he's being treated as a #1. He's 55th in the league in targets and tied with Palmer for 3rd on the team in targets/snap. Shakir and Kincaid are our main targets on a per snap basis as they should be; Coleman just plays more snaps because he's a better blocker/has no competition out wide. There have way too many 3rd down back shoulder throws to Keon. It’s not only that Keon has the most targets, it’s that Brady/Josh are foolish enough to target 0 in high leverage situations. Again and again. And again, what universe does this make sense? Edited 1 hour ago by Pete 1 1 Quote
D. L. Hot-Flamethrower Posted 1 hour ago Author Posted 1 hour ago I kind of took his plan as yes it is common sense. Yet, we've gotten away from it somehow and are forcing some of the draft picks to play roles that aren't working. It is more of a plan for a team that could still win it's division and make the playoffs, but stop being stubborn and acting like you're so good you are always right. Like forcing Coleman and Rapp. And, Shaq Thompson is our best LB. Some of the Bills strategies reek of stubborness and arrogance. Quote
The Firebaugh Kid Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I have said this before and I will continue to say it. Joe is the best analyst out there and if you’re listening to anybody else you’re wasting your time. Especially Dan Mitchell, who sucks. 4 Quote

I would tend to agree and think this is compounded by the fact that those back shoulder throws are almost always thrown at his chest/low. His best trait is his leaping ability and body control in the air and we almost never give him an opportunity to use it. 1 Quote

Goin Breakdown Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I don't have faith in our coaches to make many of these changes. Coleman is out there almost 100% of the time wasting space. Kincaid is less than 50% and is reliable. This is a choice Buffalo has been making. Let's sit Cook on 3rd and 1s and run reverses to guys who have never done it before. That's a choice our coaches have made week after week no less. Shakir is so good after the catch but well just throw to him behind the LOS and see what he gets rather than scheming him open. Again coaches. I'll just sit back and trust the process I guess. 1 Quote
Kirby Jackson Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago It all makes sense. Nothing earth shattering here. Will they put their egos aside and make hard decisions in the best interest of the team? 🤷🏻♂️ 2 1 Quote

Honestly, this isn't breaking news or shocking analysis. People have said the same stuff on here for weeks. The areas of weakness on this team are gleaming. If we as fans can spot it I suspect even the worst of NFL coaching staffs can spot the same during their prep for the Bills. This is where I hope our staff took the bye week and did some self scouting. That's typically how the staff has spent the bye in the past. Hopefully they have self identified ways to shake things up and get better. 1 1 Quote
