Bye Week Changes to be made

We have reached the bye week. The Bills are at 4-2 and by all accounts, playing bad football. A lot has gone wrong to start the year despite their record. What changes would you like to see during the bye week?

 

The biggest issue on the team today is a lack of WRs. If the Bills are to win it’s because of Josh (who isn’t playing great). Teams now just send guys and leave the receivers in man. The Bills have the worst WRs in the NFL. I’d make a deal for Olave AND a deal for Meyers or Bourne. Those would be my perimeter receivers. I’d send out at least 1 WR in the deal. It doesn’t matter which one. Shakir will remain in the slot. The position group needs an overhaul not an upgrade. Coleman being a stiff hurt. They needed him to be really good (like 1200 and 8 TDs good). He’s not even playable at this point. 
 

Next, I’d fire Babich. This whole defense is 🗑️. I don’t have an easy fix there but anything is better. Rush Hairston back. He has to come back and play immediately. Any growing pains will just be regular plays for Tre at this point. Play Hancock over Rapp. Get the injured/suspended guys back. Sign Asante Samuel. All of that combined might make your defense have a pulse.

NOTHING will change. McD is arrogant and believes he is right.

I legitimately think Babich will be fired this week and McD will take over the defense.

 

It’s aggressive but I think they were giving him to the bye. It feels like every week, the defense comes out sloppy and unfocused and misaligned for the 1st half.

 

It has become unacceptable, even to McD imo.

Coleman to big nickel spot with Shakir every now and again.

 

We can't use both because we wasted capital getting a ***** WR who we call a TE to pretend that he will get LB coverage. Kincaid is good as far as TEs go for catching but we needed and need a WR.

His mistakes and misses are the reason McDermott is trying to win with broken down players from the past. Because Beanes draft picks and signings stink. 

 

McDermott won't even dress many of Beanes picks

Beane is going on WBEN to laugh at the idea of getting a WR. McDermott is going to fire Babich. Pegula will consult Kevin Adams for what to do to get success

Beane and McDermott are in sync with player personnel decisions. It’s on the both of them.

 

Small, soft, slow and injury prone isn’t a good recipe on defense. Who would have thought that? Not to mention the draft capital and money they wasted on said players.

When Allen is average the Bills offense is awful.  And yes WR is a key need right now.  Coleman is a bust which is devastating given how well Worthy & McConkey (we could have drafted either of these guys if we were willing to make a small deal) are playing.  

 

The defense, which at least used to be strong in the regular season, is now one of the worst units in the NFL.

I would fire McD now. And fire Beane at season's end. This season is lost anyway. McD ended the drought. But Allen is the reason we have been very good to great throughout the last 5 years. The front office is a joke. The coaches never seem to have the right plan. Its a tire fire.

Do you guys honestly think Beane is deciding, of his own accord, to use the first five draft picks on defense? To use multiple free agency signings on defensive linemen with steroid suspensions looming?

 

Every thing on this team is downstream of McDermott.

Fire Bean immediately but we know that won’t happen. Need to get a couple receivers and a playmaker on defense. I don’t trust Bean to get it done because he’s been such a failure at obtaining game changers.

Shaq Thompson needs to be playing 100% of snaps from here on out regardless of the health of the other LBs. Best a LB on the team by a huge margin.
