  1. 1. It's all up to you. Do you fire Sean McDermott?

    • Yes. Gotta stop wasting Josh Allen
    • No. He turned the team around and deserves more time.

they are 4-2 and a mash unit.  Get a grip.

no different than last year after the losses to baltimore and houston.

Exactly.  This is why on Gameday I refuse to get on the board as people don’t think clearly when we lose.  I thought the same the sky was falling last year after Baltimore and Houston, then we beat the Ravens in the playoffs.  We are severely banged up, and yes, we have to trade for a CB.  Even Douglas would be better than Tre.

I wouldn't fire him now, no. But if I were Pegula I'd tell him to fire Bobby Babich take over his defense and make him personally accountable for improving it by the end of the season or else forget any other metrics he is fired.

Because that last night was totally unacceptable defense for a professional football team. Every time the Falcons ran outside zone they got 10 yards. Guys not lined up properly on 3rd down in the redzone. Players out there who are in year 3 who still don't know their ***** assignments. Disaster class in tackling. It was as bad as year 1 of the Rex Ryan defense for uncoordinated horror show. And forget injuries. If anything it got slightly better the more guys that went down.

I still have serious questions for Brandon Beane on how he put this defense together and some of recruitment and retention decisions, but they can wait. That last night was a defense that couldn't execute basic day 1 install type plays. There has to be some accountability for that. It should start with Babich who is in way over his head. But then it should move to McDermott too. Defense is what got him the job. Well the defense is now an absolute mess. So either sort it out or get out.

I'm tired of hearing it's the roster.  Last year it was the same and we were in the AFC Championship.

Brady surprised people last year, not the case this year. Zero play design and creativity.  Doesn't scheme for the talents of his guys. Uses the same plays recycled over and over in a game.

When the offense is forced to be 1 dimensional and has to pass, it's over. I watch Mahomes throw to wide open guys regularly.  I watched Penix throw to wide open guys regularly.  I watched Maye throw to wide open guys regularly. Not Allen.

Babich SUCKS and should not have made it to D coordinator this year after last season. This unit still can't stop thd run. It's horrendous in zone coverage.  Has zero creativity. No exotic looks, no exotic blitz packages and has zero aggression. They look completely unprepared week after week and lack basic fundamentals.

This defense has made Penix look like Montana, Maye look like the second coming of Brady and Rattler look like Drew Brees.

This entire coaching staff is done.

Allen is absolutely being wasted and we will never make it to a Super Bowl with this regime, let alone win it. 🤷

Excuse are over.  They looked horrible against the Ravens at full strength and pulled out a miracle.

They let Tua pick them apart, Rattler pick them apart, Maye pick them apart and Penix pick them apart.

This team is not prepared. This is coaching. It goes well beyond execution.

We looking like a monkey ***** a football out there against NOBODYS.

Do you even understand what KC is going to do to this team in a few weeks?

Allen was definitely a big part of the problem last night.  As far as the roster, it looked much better when Strong was in the game before getting injured.  Unfortunately Tre is always behind receivers and it is hurting us.  The Dline actual looked decent last night. As far as wide open receivers whether it's coaching or the players they are just not getting open unless you are Kincaid or Shakir or maybe Palmer.  If you want to talk about those other teams Diggs worked hard against us to get open, London is a stud and gets open.  Let's not chalk this up to scheme, it's individual effort and losing Kincaid last night was huge, probably the difference between winning and losing.

I would be down for this if it's tomorrow.

Get rid of McDermott's built in excuse this year and see if he can summon the defensive guru we hired nearly 10 years ago

Turn the defense around and earn another year...

If not, see ya!

Outside of one year in Carolina, he wasn't even a good coordinator. He ran the worst defense in Eagles history and got fired, and then ran a bunch of mediocre defenses in Carolina. I swear he got the job just off of Norman having a pro-bowl year. The idea that he coaches up DBs has always been a mystery to me.

If you took this poll after 13 seconds, there would have been 20% in favor of firing him. And that 20% would have been right.

150 yards is picking them apart? Rattler had 126 yards. Yes Maye had almost 300 yards but over half of it was a very determined Diggs that yes we could not handle.  This is an extreme overreaction.  As far as KC is concerned they have not looked good at all till the Lions game.

Sure Allen was part of the problem because they were one dimensional and had no answers on offense.

I wasn't surprised by this at all. Ulbrich has always given Allen and the offense problems.  I'm absolutely pissed we didn't nab him up and relieve Babich of his duties this year. He led a top unit with the Jets and is now doing the same in Atlanta.  But no.  McD sticks with his buddies that suck.

I've seen the film break down, hours of it.  These receivers can win, they just have zero help from play design.

Allen was getting desperate last night and rightfully so we were down big and he was rattled from constant pressure.

Ha. I have been for 2 years on it is a year to year evaluation on McDermott and Beane. I am still angrier at Beane than at McDermott but there is no excusing how bad this defense is. It was bad last year and it is worse this year. I know, I know, playoff failings... but that aside McDermott has always been able to hang his hat on his side of the ball is pretty good for the most part. They had top 10 defenses year in year out. But right now the defense is a disaster. And if McDermott can't fix it then I think he can't fix the team.

Yes, pick us apart. Did you watch the games?  The Saints had 189 rushing yards against us. Rattler picked us apart in those yards.

Mami rushed for 130 and Tua picked us apart.

The Falcons had 210 rushing yards and Penix picked us apart.

What are we even doing here?

Wasn't for this previously but his refusal to fire Babich and get a defensive mind in here means fire McD anything to get Babich out of here... if they dont do that fire Beane and keep firing people until that incompetent joke that runs the Buffalo Sabres of NFL defense is gone.

Are we talking RBs or QBs?  I know you want to prove your point but talking about QBs picking us apart and not even reaching 150 yards is fouled logic.  100 percent agree our run defense is garbage but it's never been great. Side note if Miami only ran for 130 yards that not a horrible team stat.  Bijan torched us last night though.

Imo. The head coach needs to lead and take over when things are getting bad. He has final say.

He has no pulse on this team. I rarely see him talking to the players. He has no answers. Instead of taking any responsibility he finds himself a whipping boy.

Im sick of hiring from with in.

Im sick of not having answers.

The only coach that has gotten a promotion outside of the bills was from our offense.

If mcdermott is going to play the game of I trust my coordinators. Then hire 2 new ones outside of the organization that aren't yes men.

His claps are going to sound and look the same.

I laughed last week when Chris and Tasker were talking about maye and how if you give the qb 5 secs his receivers WILL get open.

Not Allen's receivers.

Beane is a bigger problem but that’s like saying “getting run over by a bus is a bigger problem then getting run over by a car.” Both problems are massive.

You and I are almost always in agreement regarding the Bills. The one area that we haven’t seen eye-to-eye on is the McDermott situation. You’ve been in year to year mode while I’ve been of the belief that each day with him the window shuts a little more.

The defense is a disaster but even if they were good, it wouldn’t be enough to get to their goal IMO. Philosophically they play not to lose. They play to keep it tight, minimize mistakes and outlast teams. With the penalties, turnovers, etc that hasn’t worked over the last few weeks. Even if it did, that’s not how you should play with Josh (who hasn’t been playing well). You should be downhill, foot on the gas and trying to beat teams by 40. You should be forcing teams to keep up instead of trying to outlast them. That’s why he let’s bad teams hang around. Good teams can beat you that way as well.

I can’t believe that I’m using this but the Bills need to “be a bully.” I’m not just talking about physicality. I’m talking about mentality. They need that swagger and edge. They need that killer instinct which has seemingly come and gone over the last 5 years on a few occasions. That’s driven by Josh but also by the culture that the HC brings. I need less “those guys get paid too” or “it’s hard to win in this league.” I need more “we were 2 scores better than that team. I’m not pleased that we escaped Miami and New Orleans with wins. I’m pissed off that we didn’t play to our standard.” That’s what he can control and is responsible for. The team should be judged by their standard not by the result. Miami and New Orleans are great examples. McDermott would say that was good because they won. I would say, it was bad because it set up for the next couple of games. The problems were there regardless of the result.

In terms of Beane, we can point to a zillion different failures when it comes to the roster. Paying Rousseau and Bernard were bad decisions. They were at the time but people didn’t want to hear that. You don’t pay role players as core players. The draft has been a disaster.

Beyond the players though, it’s his philosophy that fails. You should build from Josh out. You should build the “Greatest Show on Turf 2.0.” Give him all of the players. Try to make the defense functioning but NEVER at the expense of the offense. If the defense gets 4 stops a game, the Bills should never lose. Beane has taken the opposite approach, “Josh is so good it doesn’t matter who is around him. He will make them good. Keep investing on the DL and secondary. Overspend on role players and use all of your draft capital there (literally their 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th last year).” The approach is completely wrong. It’s not “a different approach.” It is “the wrong approach.”

It's the same thing under McD for the past 9 years..........lose a couple of winnable games in October, tighten things up in November and make a run in December.

If you think that things are going to suddenly change with this team, when this system/formula is all they know, then you haven't been paying attention, my friends.

The McD experiment has run its course.
