BillytheKid Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago The fact Cleveland would trade him to a team in their own division tells you just how much they are concerned about it. They must know Flacco won’t help them one bit. Flacco behind that O-line is not going to be anything to fear. 1 Quote

Let's say Burrow comes back Week 16 (which I don't think he will, honestly): 11 games missed, so Flacco elevates you to win half the remaining games. I think that's generous, honestly. so 6 wins. They're barely a wildcard contender at that point. 2 Quote

mushypeaches Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago The problem is that our defensive coaching is just bad enough to let an immobile Flacco carve us up in December Quote

They might have won that division with Jameis instead of Browning. With the Ravens in disarray I understand adding Flacco. It just feels like the wrong guy. In addition to their feeble OL, I think they've also given up the second most points in the NFL this year. I doubt there was a guy available that could overcome the mess they've built. 1 Quote

He was never all that fleet of foot and now he's closer to 40 than 30. The guy just has nothing left to offer, imo. 2 Quote
Virgil Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I wonder if Wilson or Winston was ever available from the Giants. I feel like both would be a huge upgrade in Cincy. Quote
PetermansRedemption Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago If they wanted to compete, Cousins was the move. This is just a save face move for the fan base. 1 2 Quote

Their offense is based upon downfield passing to their stud WRs, but their OL isn't nearly good enough to hold up until the they can get open downfield. The funniest part is that they didn't adjust their offense AT ALL for Browning. He, like Burrow, holds the ball FOREVER. When it works, it's a thing of beauty. But with Browning, it results in 3 picks a game to go with the multiple sacks. 2 Quote

skibum Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago More bad news for Joe Flacco. His O-line situation just went from bad to worse! At least he had good interior linemen in Cleveland. He's going to get killed in Cincy! 1 Quote

Seriously... from our perspective we match up better against Flacco than whomever else that might be mobile... we are horrific at tackling... especially if it is a moving target... at least Flacco will stand still for us... 1 Quote

Could they have played .500 for a few months? Maybe, maybe not but the odds of that were much better with Jameis slinging it to those elite pass catchers than Jake Browning looking terrible. 1 1 Quote
