punctuality is 100% attitutde

I agree with that mostly (say 98%).

The one outlier, which I've seen happened to other players on game day, is that they completely misjudge the traffic. The patterns have fluctuated wildly in the last couple years. Some days I can get to the stadium with zero issue, and other days it's a complete nightmare.

Granted I don't know what time they are expected to report, but even so much as a 10-minute swing in your departure time can result in a 30 to 40 minute delay.

I'm not sure misjudging traffic caused by normal business is a legit excuse, but unexpected traffic such as that caused by a major accident is legit.

well, also rarely is a big deal made out of one miss if you are early to the hundreds of other deadlines

and yet Keon's catch percentage is higher than some of the other WRs mentioned here that are presumably better than him.

What about the jump balls and contested throws? Watching him seems a lot of those plays the ball is hitting the ground.  That’s what Beane said was his strengh. Maybe I’m seeing something different.

it is if it happens once

And to add here; I'm only speculating but this all derives from lateness, but we saw Keon driving into the stadium prior to the Saints game (he has a distinctive looking car) and we were already in the parking lot. I'm guessing that may have been an instance of tardiness as well.

Perhaps the New England game wasn't his first offense, assuming that's what this is.

the problem is being good at low percentage plays still means low conversion. It puts a real ceiling on you when every play is contested, even if you are better than many

This!! It’s like having a kicker that’s great from 60+. What’s great, 1 out of 2? Give me the guy that’s 90% inside of 40 and 33% from 60+ over the guy that’s 80% inside of 40 and 50% from 60+.

It might be his specialty but it's no easy task, I mean I've seen Keon catch some balls that not seen since the days of Eric Moulds but also seen him drop balls that felt were catchable. Truth is long sideline throws no easy catch no matter who's out there. Heck Gabe Davis was plucking them at will early on his career too.
