BillsFan619 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago “…Bosa's start has been strong with a league-high four forced fumbles, already tied for his second-most in a season. His league-leading 23.4% pressure percentage is the highest of Bosa's career and his 18 pressures are tied with Green Bay Packers pass rusher Micah Parsons for the NFL's most.” "I won't mention the exact count of what the plan is, but there is a plan, and it kind of got away from us [vs. the Dolphins]," Bosa said. "Some of those drives were long and they'd look at me, and I'd be like, 'No, no.' I hate being pulled out in the red zone even if it's a really long drive cause I just, you want to be out there and no matter how tired you are. "Ideally, we keep it below that, but at the end of the game, if it's crunch time and I need to be out there, I'm going to play as many snaps as I need to, but I think the goal is to try to get rest earlier in the game and steal some snaps on first and second down early," Bosa said. "So, by the time the third, fourth quarter rolls around, we have some in the tank that we could use. But yeah, the goal isn't to go out there and have an incredible one game. It's about consistency and longevity for the season to manage that." https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/42034528/joey-bosa-new-chapter-injury-concerns-buffalo-bills 1 6 2 Quote
Walking Tall Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Good signing. He’s had issues with contain but he wasn’t brought here for that. Hopefully he’ll improve a bit there. Quote

BuffaloBill Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Glad he is a Bill - we’ll see how the rest of the season goes. We really need his best game during the playoffs. Quote
EssexBill Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) Apart from Josh, I'd say Joey is the most important piece of the superbowl puzzle. We've had the offence to get there for the last few years but the defence has always let the team down, I truly believe we'd have made it in 2022 if Von Miller hadn't got injured and Joey is the best passs rusher we've had since then. If he stays healthy he'll get to Mahomes in the playoffs and that is the key as we've not gotten a sniff of him previously which has cost us regardless of how many points the offense have put on the board. Groot and Ed Oliver have shown they can't do it on the very biggest stage so we need someone at a higher level to do it, I'm hopeful Joey is that guy Edited 1 hour ago by EssexBill 1 Quote

Hyde went down early and that hurt the defense. Pretty much the entire D-line was hurt going into that Bengals team. It was the Bills "year from hell" they just had two star talents on offense (Diggs and Josh) and enough depth on defense to patch it together and go 13-3. But that team was just not destined to go the distance that year even if Von was healthy. Quote
Warriorspikes51 Posted 40 minutes ago Posted 40 minutes ago (edited) while hes had a seemingly annoying amount of near tackles of RB's that were missed..... He has already forced 4 fumbles in 4 games to lead the NFL I'd like to see his snap count brought down to 45-50% instead of 75%+ I think that's the sweet spot for his efficiency and success rate to be elite all season if he can stay on the field Edited 40 minutes ago by Warriorspikes51 1 Quote

I hear what you're saying and I agree 2022 was the year where the heavens plotted against the bills, but Von Miller before injury was that good I still think they'd have made it if he'd been healthy. Unfortunately the Gods didn't want it. Didn't help that Josh had a massive fight with his gf the night before the bengals game which effectively ended the relationship either (so I was told) Edited 36 minutes ago by EssexBill Quote
Mister Defense Posted 34 minutes ago Posted 34 minutes ago Great stuff, had not read those quotes yet. The fact that he wants to be out there more, more than we had thought when signed, is such a promising sign for what he will do this year and in the future. As he seems to be enjoying it so much here, having a great time on a winning team, that I think he will want to be here long term, even if it may mean a little less money. And this will get much better once the defense is fixed, I think. And I believe that fix is on the horizon. Hope so, as he likely has several good years left as he is only 30. Quote

With our offense, I'd think the defense should be getting 60-70 snaps total. 30-40 snaps is what I think the target. I also like the fact that he mentioned stealing some 1st & 2nd down snaps in 1st & 2nd quarter. I take it as someone steals those snaps from him. That's good plan for a tight games. Unfortunately there is no one else capable of holding the edge better than him and Groot right now. So I don't know that plan is ever going to work. Quote
