The Bills were close to breaking 2 30+ point records in 2024, can they break them in 2025??

The record for most 30+ point games in a season is 13 by the Denver Broncos.....the Bills did it 12 times last year.

 

The record for consecutive 30+ point games is 9 by Tampa Bay.......the Bills had a streak of 8 consecutive games last year.

 

So far the Bills have scored 41, 30, 31, and 31 points.

 

That's 4 for 4 in 2025.....off to a good start!!

 

I think the Bills have a strong chance to break both of these records...what do you think??

If they can get to 9, which is possible, they ironically would play Tampa Bay in game 10 to break that record!

I think they should be able to do it, as offenses like this usually are just starting to hit their stride in the coming weeks. So the Bills' offense should keep progressing.

 

But the defense right now makes it less likely--I think.

 

If the opposing offenses, even the supposedly weaker ones, continue to have long, productive drives on our defense, it makes it less likely because the Bills will not have the ball  enough to do this.  They need to stop the run to make this happen.

 

On the other hand, if the Bills need to keep scoring up a storm because the defense continues to flail, then the Bills will likely need to score more points to win their games. And maybe break some of these records you hit on.

 

If someone said, choose between the kinds of offensive records you point to, and a much improved defense, the answer is a no brainer.

 

But, let's do both, please!  Complimentary football.  Now.

It's crazy 8 consecutive games last year and no one gives it a second thought.  Sometimes need to take a beat and really appreciate the times we are living in

If they have a big lead going into the 4th Q, should they intentionally only score 29 points or less total so that the odds of them scoring 30+ goes up for the rest of the season... 🤔

The record for regular season 30 point games is 8 which the Bills tied. 
 

Tampa Bays included regular season and playoffs. So a little bit different.

 

I get your point though. Would be cool to see the Bills break it.
 

The Bills have scored 30 or more points in 13 of their last 14 regular season games Allen has played in. Only one they didn’t was last years game at home against New England.

It would be better for this record if our pass defense was worse than our run defense (when reality is the opposite).

I remember the all world offense of the Broncos getting bounced out of the playoffs by Baltimore one year, and laying a complete egg vs the Seahawks in the superbowl another year.  Regular season stats are nice, but a superbowl victory is  what matters.

Same with the Dan Fouts Chargers. Terrific offense, horrible defense. That’s where this team is heading. This kind of team doesn’t normally do very well when the playoffs start

Ummm, the stupidity of some members amazes me. Everyone knows our offense suucks ass. We need a #1 WR in order to succeed.

You have to win in the regular season to make the playoffs? I don't get this thinking that regular season is not important. I understand that in the end the seasons of most teams who are contenders are going to be decided in the post-season. But you for one have to get there and trying to get a top seed is important. So to think that while the regular season is going on it all doesn't matter is just silly to me. The Bills in the Josh era have never been the one seed, seems to me that would be a tremendous advantage?

Well, I think I said just that in my post, your first sentence..

 

But, have patience....

 

Because if this run defense does not improve, soon and dramatically, (and Tre White ever covers a fast wideout again), what you say in your last sentence may be coming soon too. 

 

We have seen the beginnings of that in the high completion percentage of QBs.  Because if the Bills can't stop the run with their lineman, they will need to change their pass defense too.

I would say.. lets not worry about that and just beat NE... but... I think they will have to make the streak 5 in order to do so... so lets go1
