Special K Posted September 19 Posted September 19 (edited) If he didn't play for Miami, I would feel bad for him and Dolphin fans. Is there another QB who is more the opposite of Josh Allen than Tua?? Small, injury prone, weak arm, terrible leader......have you ever seen a QB throw more passes behind the line of scrimmage than Tua did tonight?? I'm pretty sure I saw a smile on his face when he was running off the field after the Bernard INT.....what!?!? Why would Miami spend so much money on two WR's if they have a QB who isn't equipped to use them properly?? Enjoy living in purgatory Miami for as long as you are shackled with the ridiculous contract you gave to a small, noodle-armed QB who will never even be a top ten QB in this league. LABILLBACKER Posted September 19 Posted September 19 It's staggering that Tua makes 53M/yr. Almost as much as Josh. 1 3 1 Quote
TheBrownBear Posted September 19 Posted September 19 Accurate, quick decision maker, but immobile and a complete noodle arm. Paying Dan Marino money for Chad Pennington talent. 2 2 Quote

"have you ever seen a QB throw more passes behind the line of scrimmage than Tua did tonight" yes Josh Allen and that is why this game was even a game because Brady continues to call games like he has Trent Edwards as his starting QB and not a QB who most likely has the strongest arm ever 3 2 1 Quote

We don't want Josh playing the style that helped win him an MVP last year...we want to see "arm punt" Josh throw the ball carelessly down the field into triple coverage and turn the ball over. It's way more fun. 3 2 Quote
Sweats Posted September 19 Posted September 19 "One Read" Tua is a "system" QB and unfortunately, his HC is just not the guy to help him progress any further than what that system allows. ........it's sad really Quote
thenorthremembers Posted September 19 Posted September 19 I am not sure if anyone else felt this way but I could kind of feel the INT coming. He doesnt look off his wideouts. If you go back and watch the play his head never moves off that read, not even for a second. 1 Quote

I hope they'll be able to hit that 2nd gear after a season of ball-control offense. 2 Quote

Because we gave Cook a 12 million contract do we start forcing the ball to Cook like we were doing with Diggs.... Cook deserves his tounches and came close to breaking a couple last night, but we have Josh and we should utilize his arm a little more than behind the LOS screens to WRs 1 Quote

His completion percentage and yards would have increased if it wasn't for a few bad drops. I wouldn't call that anemic....but to each their own. 2 Quote
SoCal Deek Posted September 19 Posted September 19 I watched Tia’s presser last night and he’s a really class act. Respectful, humble, etc. I also watched his Coach’s presser and he’s a head case. Looks like he hadn’t slept. He has no answers. And threw his QB under the bus for not taking the check down on the final interception. Sheeesh! Quote

The passing game got shorter and shorter as the game went on. The drops were brutal though. Quote
SageAgainstTheMachine Posted September 19 Posted September 19 Tua went out and told the press that he can’t do half of what Josh does. He’s right, of course, but I don’t think I’ve ever heard a QB actually say something like that before. 1 Quote

Look, I realize this team isn't perfect by any means. Lots of work to be done. It's almost like it's only week 3...lol. There are definitely areas for improving. Some concerns. For me, PR is a concern. Codrington is going to cost us a game at some point if he keeps making poor choices in when to field the ball. Ray Davis is a total non factor. Only saw 4 official snaps and zero touches last night. It's cool to want to talk about areas needing improvements. It's human nature. I get that. But threads popping up immediately after a double digit win, on national TV against a division rival isn't the time. Take a bit and enjoy a win people. It wasn't long ago we were a complete joke to the league. 1 Quote
PoundingDog Posted September 19 Posted September 19 I see some improvement in Tua's game actually. In the past, he's never able to get out of the grasp of Tre or Bosa for the potential sacks. Not saying he's Mahomes, Allen level of slippery, but he now surprises people now and then in that department. The bottom line is he's tier 2 QB. For him, it manifests that when you get pressure on him, getting him off his spot in the pocket, he's prone to make inaccurate throws and INTs like the one Bernard got last night. Look at Bills Dolphins game history, the lopsided games when he played poorly are always we are able to put pressure on him. Yesterday we could not put consistent pressure - I should use the word any pressure for long stretch of time, to move him even off the spot. Converting that many 3rd downs against us is an achievement 67%, almost Chiefs like. Remember the Ravens never even faced that many 3rd downs when they moved the ball on us. But when they did, we "limited" them to convert 54%. Quote
