The dolphins are going to play us tough. Their backs are against the wall and jobs are on the line. We should be able do handle these guys but I’m not going to assume blowouts here. It’s the NFL. Not college football. You still have to play well or you can get beat by anyone. Got to pick up where we left off and keep playing defense

This is one of those things where it is likely going to come down to internal information. On paper I just don't see them going with an unproven play caller in what is supposed to be a Super Bowl window. Joe Brady had been an OC for two seasons at the NFL level before taking over for Dorsey and that was a mid-season take over where they couldn't do much else to jumpstart things. Curry has never been a play caller at any level. Whereas let's say Daboll is available and interested in being OC do you go with a guy that's done it with Josh before or do you go with the unproven up and comer?

There is a less than zero percent chance Daboll is brought back as OC.

No players jobs are on the line, just coaches, and the players dont care about McVapey

Ronald Curry, only been here since 2024 and never been a play caller at any level. If Brady leaves in 2026 I would suspect they would want an experienced OC

I'd assume this to be the case as well UNLESS he has truly demonstrated a mastery of the game and earned the confidence of McD/Beane.

The Dolphins have better receivers than us. I mean I would take Hill or Waddle over any one of our receivers. But that really doesn't matter when we have much better OL, coaching and a more competent D. Oh, a better QB too!!

That said, I have a weird feeling about this game. I like it when we are not huge favorites and the media doubts us. Something tells me the Dolphins will put up a fight.

Division games plus it being Thursday may not be a blowout.

Serious question, Why? I am not aware of any bad blood between Daboll and McD. Coordinators leave to get HC gigs all the time nothing shocking there. Coordinators also fail as head coaches and come back to be coordinators all the time too...

Dolphins could be like a cornered animal. Might be dangerous out of desperation (but mostly just dangerous for Tua if he tries to do too much).

The Bosa led DL should be able to dominate the Dolphins injured OL this game. I would be surprised if Tua has any time to throw.

Why is he going over the Canadian Falls? Nothing wrong with that. But historically that's the side that you're more likely to survive. I think Fields is on the slippery slope to get relegated to a career back-up.

The D-line even without Ed should be able to handle the Fins bad and injured D-line. If this game isn't a similar domination to the Jets game in terms of the defensive line then that is a disappointment

Putting bad tape out there for a potential next coach is something they absolutely care about. Let’s get real here. You think these guys want to show other teams and coaches that they quit? They will give us all they have

They will try just as hard as they tried the last two games...except this time, they play a juggernaut on the road on a short week.

If they don’t turn it around, they are really screwed with the Tua and Hill contracts  unless they pull a Denver and just eat a massive contract.  Assuming they would try to trade Hill and eat some of the costs. I don’t see anyone trading for Tua though.

Regardless just beat Miami!

100% agree! Especialy about Tua! He is so prone to concussions, I'm not sure anyone would want to touch him. With his contract, they would probably have to cut him unless he decided to retire. Which I highly doubt he would do. He refused to 2 years ago when it was suggested to him for his own health and safety.

Some of the crap that comes out of his mouth, I sometime wonder if he trades places with Tue sometimes and is the one that actually gets concussed. LOL! He seems braindead to me much of the time i hear him talk.

Counterpoint.

The whole Dolphins franchise put together rounds up to a pair of balls.

No?  There were lots of rumors that they did NOT part on good terms and the post game handshake seemed a bit frosty.  See discussion:

I didn’t say we are going to lose. I think the Bills are probably the best team in the AFC. I’m just saying I’m not sure why everything is acting like it’s going to be 48-0, it’s not. The dolphins played bad against the colts but they aren’t the saints or panthers

So, this could absolutely be a trap game... for the reason you stated... short week national tv hated rival... and fighting for their coaches and playoff lives...  that said and I think I said this in the beginning of the year,  either the Dolphins show up and make a play for the division or the internal strife and implosion is gonna take em out early...  I think this could be the game that prevents this from going the implosion route at least for now if the win... if they lose I think its gonna be an all out mutiny in the locker room if it hasnt already started... I think it might... so lets get up on them early, foot on throat and don't let them up and I think they cave... give em hope... let them hang around... anything can happen...  JMO

With the injuries they have on the OL the Bills defense should have a good day. The Dolphins defense is going to have a very hard time stopping the Bills offense. I know upsets can happen and divisional games are tough games most of the time, but I have a hard time seeing the Dolphins staying competitive in this game.

I don't think overconfidence among fans or the points spread has any effect on the team's attitude. The Bills know they almost lost to them at home last year and will take them seriously. People are just having a little fun, and I'm happy to see Bills fans confident in their team.

You know Miami has 3 injured starters on thier Oline, right? Don't see how they are going to field a competent offense.
