That throw was magnificent, but it gets skipped because Josh made it look easy. Palmer was "wide" open because Josh gets it there so fast.

Palmer also put a move on Alexander. Almost made him fall down. That makes me really happy because what we lost with Diggs is that elite route runner who can create separation with skill.

Thanks for that. I saw it yesterday when you posted it but I forgot it and tried to break it all down myself. I just noticed that Josh went directly at Jaire Alexander twice. I think it's personal between those two since that Monday night game against the Packers in Buffalo three years ago.

Alexander was really struggling out there too...think his knee still isn't right. They really started picking on him in the 2nd half.  I can't say I blame him, Alexander is probably one of the biggest punks in the NFL.

I can think of only two other AFC QBs who make that throw worth trying and Lamar, great as he may be, is not one of them.

Lamar doesn’t throw into tight windows like that usually. He somehow seems to be constantly throwing to wide open receivers actually.

Him, Eli Apple, and Jalen Ramsay just don't know when to shut their mouths.

Thank you. That throw was a thing of beauty. A joy forever.

Josh has the clutch gene, that's for sure.

Billie Jean King said "Pressure is a privilege. It only comes to those who earn it." Josh gets that, and lives for those moments. So does Mahomes and Brady. It's the thing that you can't measure at the combine or see in stats that separates the greats from the very good.

That is a good point, Palmer did his job well, but other than Josh and a few others the ball won't get there fast enough to make it in time

Palmer is really good BTW,  we have a lethal trio at WR plus Knox Kincaid and Cook/Ty

Coleman, Shakir, Palmer is absolutely not a “lethal” trio.

It’s in the bottom five of the NFL. Not one of those guys would be a #1 on any other team in the league. On most teams, none of them would even be a #2.

They are nice players and fun to watch here in Buffalo because of 17. But until one of them has a true “breakout” the reality is that they are all JAGs at this point.

You can include Knox and Kincaid as well — Beane should be fired for that Knox contract. A primarily blocking TE is the third-highest cap hit on the team? Absurd.

Cook had one very good season, but RBs are a dime-a-dozen. Ty Johnson is an excellent niche player on 3rd downs, but doesn’t give you much else.

This is the Josh we need in the playoffs; I realize he was otherworldly Sunday, but we needed him to be that guy the last two Chiefs playoff games. Defense cannot be counted on in the biggest games, period.

Your takes are terrible

And so is whatever football team you root for

Bottom five? Tough crowd.

A top career 10 JA17 throw.

We should make a list. It's probably deserves it's own thread. But to start

  • Robert Foster against the Jags in 2018
  • Jake Kumerow in Denver in 2020
  • Diggs in Detroit in 2023
  • Palmer

I need to remember that only blind loyalty and “thank you sir, may I have another” takes are welcome around here. There is no room for honest criticism or legitimate concern over the fact that the coach and GM have not managed to even appear in a Super Bowl over the course of 7 seasons with one of the most incredible talents any professional sports team has ever had.

Mismanaged playoff games and a roster void of elite talent and cap space. All of it held together by Superman and a clown car division that annually awards a playoff berth after week three.

Rolling backwards and left

Zero point zero other QBs who can make that throw

I noticed that.  It was so strange - they showed about 3-4 plays that were almost inconsequential (like Cook picking up 4 yards), but didn't show the pass to Palmer, which was an absolutely huge play in that comeback.

Along with that short out to Coleman.
