We have too many holes on defense to worry about backup RB, but yes I’d take Bigsby in a second. Davis looks terrible, and we need a more physical RB to get the tough yards on short yardage and goal line runs as thats suddenly become a glaring weakness. 1 Quote

There HAS to be a team out there looking to part with someone on the defensive side of the ball that could be a significant upgrade to what we have. Cap wise... there are ways to make it happen. We don't shore up this defense and we are toast, yet again, in the playoffs. That needs to be a safety. We can’t keep pretending Bishop and Rapp are good enough. 1 1 Quote

billsfan89 Posted September 9 Posted September 9 I like what the Bills have at RB, I don't think Tank really moves the needle here. I think The Eagles backup RB is asking out so they are filling a need here. Nice move, not the biggest fan of tank but he's young and probably could do well behind the Eagles o-line. Quote
Johnnycage46 Posted September 9 Posted September 9 I thought Tank Bigsby was a Dick Tracy villain. 1 Quote

Smith has 69 career sacks in 10 seasons and had 4 sacks in 8 games last year. This guy can still play and doesn't have the injury history of Bosa or Miller 1 Quote

What always bugs me about this logic of going after the front office for not bringing in any players like this is both Peppers and Wilkens were released by meh teams for a reason. Honestly, I'd rather bring in a guy that knows our system than a player with a "name" who has flamed out in other environments. And Wilkens... do we really want whatever the heck is going on there in our organization? Dude's a train wreck. And we have drafted two promising players at his position who... don't have a weird groping and kissing fetish as far as we know. To be fair, I wouldn't be against Peppers and he didn't particularly flame out (there were some DV questions of which he was cleared, but don't think that had anything to do with his release). He's had a spotty career in relation to his draft stock, but he's been effective at some stops. That said, I don't think there's any certainty he would help our team, so I'm not particularly pointing fingers at the front office for not signing these players. Quote
