I guess that all depends how much he's influencing play calling.

But three failed two point conversions and no challenge on an obvious first down don't look good either.

I don’t think they would’ve overturned that spot tbh.  They would’ve stuck with the call on the field with some mumbo jumbo about it being subjective when a slide starts

and you gotta remember at the time they were deciding that it was 3rd and 1.  With the amount of risk losing a timeout in a game like that comes with there is really not a ton of reward.  Ray Davis just happened to run backwards then Josh got sacked after that

ironically I really think mcd not challenging that saved the game despite the call on the field being sh*t

Why do people feel the need to write “It’s over” when the game is not over?

People post stuff like that in the first quarter of games!

I don’t get quitting watching before the game’s over either.

We wait all week for these games—or all off-season!—why pull the plug when there’s still a chance?

I bet the GDT was in full meltdown 😝

To one extent I get when a unit on the team is playing bad opening week and there’s frustrations, the team is fully healthy for the most part and they’ve had all season to prepare for a revenge game on Baltimore’s part… BUT, like you said, the game wasn’t even remotely out of reach. The defense only needed to make one to two stops for us to have a chance. Kudos to them; they stepped up when it mattered!

Double down on the fact Baltimore is one of the best built teams in the league. It was never going to be a cakewalk.

I had pretty much given up, but I’ll be happy to eat a plate.  A lot of folks blasting Coleman, Palmer, Oliver over the years, etc. need to get in line with me.

Mistakes were certainly made.  The choices on 2 point conversions as an example.  I just hope I live long enough to be able to tell grandchildren that I watched Josh Allen play football.

Grilled, amd medium. Anything more than medium and its to gamey.

Ed Oliver FINALLY did what I've been wanting him to do. He made a game changing play in a HUGE moment. Good job Ed, now jeep doing it.

Yes, it would be great if that’s the guy we got weekly, which has always been a problem, he has flashed for a game or two a year.  I’m hoping he can find that level more often.  That play vs Henry was the best of his career, very impressive.

Don't you mean to ask about Raven?  I think they're good stewed.

Someone asked a friend of mine the difference between a crow and a raven.  It seems a crow has 7 pinion feathers while a raven has 8.  So the difference between a crow and a raven is a matter of a pinion.

I went to bed at 10:20, my son stayed up watching and shaking his head at me as I walked away.  I'm such a jackass.  We have Josh Allen

Bummer.  I refused to go to bed bc I’d fall asleep and “we still have Josh Allen, it’s not over yet”. Boy was that a good call.

This thread better be about 25 pages-I took a peek at the 2nd half thread, there is a lot of eating that needs to be done

I'm one of them - I said, "Show up" and wow! did they ever show up.

I got up at my usual 5:20 today (definitely hitting an energy drink soon), and Youtube TV had the final 7:30 queued up for me, so i watched it a again. Was just as gobsmacked watching it the second time.

No crow here. I said the D sucked and I didn't see anything last night to make me change my mind. Allen is a force of nature and we will always have a shot with Allen. The offense was great last year with Allen and it held true last night. The D sucked last year and that stayed the same. We have basically the same team as last year. I don't know what they can do to improve the D much during the season? Let's hope they can get better but I'm not going to hold my breath, the coach is obvious willing to go down with that ***** scheme.

I’ll own it. After the last Ravens TD, I posted take the L, get out of the game healthy and focus on week 2!

What an unBILLIEVEABLE last five minutes! That game was like a Rocky movie, where the Bills kept taking haymakers and still got back up!

The resiliency, grit and belief they showed will go along way this season. Certainly, have some things they have to shore up but  1 and O feels good.

Ravens have to feel like crap! Played an amazing game with multiple highlight reels, stacked roster with really no glaring weaknesses and yet,  left Buffalo with a LOSS!

LETS GO BUFFALO! Enjoy the win and now let’s TCB against the Jets!

So many people just love to be miserable but with 17 back there anything is possible. I just hope the constant negativity some people live in on this board can at least enjoy this win.

Good luck with that, but not happening.

They will always live in it.

It was one of those games where we felt so outclassed for most of it that it was easy to settle into "it's just game 1 - at least the rest of the division lost" mode.

Like most, I had basically given up on getting a W. I was hoping most of the 2nd half that they could just make it respectable.  But it was always on my mind that we stayed within 2 scores the whole time, and that we had the ability to make up that gap.

I had faith in Allen & the O to do that. I didn't have the same faith in the defense to get the stops.  It was Oliver causing that fumble that turned the game.

This is a drought era team without Josh Allen. Good thing we have Josh Allen. I had many negative feelings but they kept showing Josh's face and I kept watching and then he did Josh Allen stuff and there was much rejoicing.

The team wasn’t really that close to full strength on defense granted some of it was due to multiple suspensions and not injuries lol

We were missing what? An aging CB on the comeback train and a rookie who’s never played a down in the NFL…

Pretty much exactly where the defense was last year man. In fact, better shape given the additions to the defensive line.

Even if we completely ignore the suspended defensive linemen as being a personal choice to sign a suspended player, you do know an objectively far less physically talented rookie corner who has never played a down in the nfl started opposite Christian benford right?

like I get hating is a full time job and respect the hustle but I might’ve done some minor fact checking before hitting someone with the “lol” 😂. The corner comment was just borderline lazy

There is no hate. So I don’t know where you’re getting that from. You made a point we weren’t at full strength but we clearly were. Offensively and defensively.

And your rebuttal about suspended defensive linemen is a wash as they had their main rotation from last year with additions. The only guy from our defense that didn’t return is Douglas who was replaced by Strong.

Seems your hustle is to double down and argue invalid points that make you feel right. Nice to know your own “lol” struck a nerve.
