If the league thought highly of him, he would have signed a one-year "prove-it" deal and spent the entire offseason rehabilitating at a team’s facility. His performance in Jacksonville was really poor, truly terrible. So was Trevor Lawrence's, but he is making $55 million a year to be terrible. 2 Quote

They have brought him here to eventually have on the field. But I think you are right we are looking second half of the season. 1 Quote

Yeah by the way that wasn't speculation on my part, it's what I had heard. He's not going to be ready for at least a few weeks. Last I had heard he was unable to pass a physical. 1 Quote

Like it or not, he does command attention. if that is simply a deep threat decoy it opens stuff underneath. by the point he would be able to come back, get the reps in, contribute we are looking at week 8-10. at that point it is a great opportunity to trim some of the excess we may not need on the roster or have injury markings. 1 Quote

There are a lot of football fans in the world who can't name their favorite team's starting lineup. I appreciate TBD where posters know the roster, and care about it, all the way down to the PS. 1 1 Quote

BillsFanForever19 Posted September 3 Posted September 3 (edited) Poyer will be released so that they can fit Davis on to the PS - as we can only carry 6 vets on the Squad at one tine. Once Davis is on the PS, they'll move him to a PS/Injured List. Then they"ll re-sign Jordan Poyer. Edited September 4 by BillsFanForever19 1 Quote

Hate to say it but a healthy Davis could be an upgrade over Coleman 1 1 1 Quote
hondo in seattle Posted September 4 Posted September 4 Signing Gabe to the PS only makes sense if they're planning to elevate him when healthy. Otherwise, some other team will sign him to their 53 when he recovers. So who gets demoted? Shavers? Though maybe one of the wideouts will get hurt by the time Gabe recovers, making the decision easy. Quote

By the time that Davis is ready to go, it's entirely possible, if not likely, that one of our 6 WR's has been lost for the year or at least is dinged up enough to go on short term IR to return. Look at DT, for example. The season hasn't even started yet and we can already just slide Ogunjobi on. You worry about making room for Davis when the time comes, if room has to be made at all.
