Unlike Beane, those GM's find blue chip talent way more than Beane does Howie roseman got both of his stud defensive tackles in the top 15 lol And devintae smith top 10 He has three top 15 picks in the last 5 years The bills havent had a top 15 pick in over six seasons lol you can't compare our draft slots Edited Tuesday at 07:22 PM by Buffalo716 9 2 Quote

He also was a key component in the trade up for the 2018 draft and that pick was then packaged in the trade up for #7 which resulted in Josh Allen. So that wasn't too bad. Singletary was a mid round 3rd who has over 5,700 career yards from scrimmage. Epenesa was #54 overall and will probably play 10 years in the NFL. Solid player, not a waste. Basham is the worst pick. Moss was 86th overall. Not the best pick but still in the league. I'll give you that one. I still say that's an excellent track record. Huh? Cody Ford was drafted in 2019, the year after Allen. He wasn't even a gleam on Beane's draft board during the trade up to the 2018 draft. Singletary was the 10th pick of the 3rd round, and I think one of the clearest commentaries on Singletary's mediocre rookie season was the fact that Beane drafted an RB in the 3rd round the following year. I don't disagree with Beane's track record being better than many think it is (it's harder to draft consistently and well than many here think, and the overall "bust" rate is higher than people think). It's also a valid counterpoint that Beane has earned his way into a harsher comparator set of only the top GMs 1 Quote

Somewhat implies that they're happy with both Hairston and Tre White I think. Jackson has played teams (though I have no opinion on how well) in the past when not starting. I just think Strong outplayed Jackson, and even if it was a tie, the Bills would still go with the younger player on a rookie contract. Jackson will probably make it to the Practice Squad if they want him there. 2 Quote

He played out his rookie deal on the Bills with 3000+ yds which is value for a 3rd rounder. On the other hand, the Bills clearly weren't overall happy with him or they wouldn't have drafted Moss and then used a 2nd on James Cook in the last year of that deal. I do have to say overall during his tenure here, the OCs committment to the run game is best described as "tenuous" or perhaps "nonexistant". Hard to tell which came first there - the lack of quality player personnel to depend upon in the run game, or the poor design and execution of run plays to fit with the skills of the players. You would have a more reasoned opinion there than I could. 8 minutes ago, Special K said: I just think Strong outplayed Jackson, and even if it was a tie, the Bills would still go with the younger player on a rookie contract. I thought they had Strong playing nickel and dime back. Edited Tuesday at 07:32 PM by Beck Water Quote

I think singletary has the talent to be a low end starter or good backup The problem is he doesn't have breakaway speed and is too small to be a pure power back But he is a reliable receiver, a good blocker and when he sticks his foot in the ground and goes he's a tough tackle .. he moves some piles and has great contact balance He has talent but with the cap it's hard to pay a rb with that skill set ... But he does run with some power and elusiveness 1 Quote
WEATHER DOT COM Posted Tuesday at 07:39 PM Posted Tuesday at 07:39 PM Beane needs to find a replacement for Codrington from waiver wire/cuts that can also be counted on to play offense or defense in a pinch. Quote
